Autoimmune Lymphoproliferative Syndrome
Autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome (ALPS) is a rare genetic disorder affecting the immune system. Characterised by an abnormal increase in lymphocytes, ALPS leads to enlarged lymph nodes, liver, and spleen. Individuals with autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome often experience autoimmune conditions, such as anaemia or thrombocytopenia, due to the body's immune system attacking its own cells.
