Cholestasis
Cholestasis is the reduction or stoppage of bile flow, affecting liver function. This can lead to jaundice, dark urine, and pale stools. Causes include liver disease, biliary tract obstructions, and certain medications. Cholestasis can result in complications like malabsorption of fat and fat-soluble vitamins.
