Danon Disease
Danon disease is a rare genetic disorder caused by mutations in the LAMP2 gene, affecting the heart, muscles, and brain. Symptoms include cardiomyopathy, muscle weakness, and cognitive issues. Predominantly seen in males, Danon disease can lead to severe cardiac problems and may require a heart transplant.
