A dermoid cyst is a benign tumour containing tissues such as hair, skin, and occasionally teeth. It usually forms on the ovaries or skin and can be present from birth. Symptoms may include a noticeable lump, but many dermoid cysts are asymptomatic and discovered incidentally during imaging or surgery.
