Inflamed Tonsils
Inflamed tonsils, or tonsillitis, occur when the tonsils become swollen, red, and often painful due to viral or bacterial infection. Symptoms include sore throat, fever, and difficulty swallowing. Treatment for inflamed tonsils typically includes rest, fluids, and antibiotics if caused by bacteria. In chronic cases, tonsillectomy might be considered.
