Penetrance and Expressivity

Penetrance and expressivity are genetic terms used to describe the variability in phenotypic expression of a gene. Penetrance refers to the proportion of individuals with a particular genotype who actually express the corresponding phenotype. Expressivity indicates the degree to which a trait is expressed among individuals with the same genotype.
