Sternum
The sternum, or breastbone, is a long, flat bone located in the centre of the chest. It connects to the rib bones via cartilage, forming part of the rib cage that protects vital organs such as the heart and lungs. The sternum consists of three parts: the manubrium, body, and xiphoid process.
