TTN Gene
The TTN gene produces the titin protein, crucial for muscle function. Mutations in the TTN gene are linked to cardiomyopathies such as dilated cardiomyopathy and some muscular dystrophies. Proper function of the TTN gene is vital for maintaining heart and skeletal muscle integrity. Genetic testing can identify TTN gene mutations.
