Uncombable Hair Syndrome
Uncombable hair syndrome is a rare genetic condition characterised by straw-coloured, dry, and frizzy hair that cannot be combed flat. Typically appearing in early childhood, uncombable hair syndrome arises due to mutations in genes responsible for hair shaft structure, specifically PADI3, TGM3, and TCHH. Diagnosis is primarily clinical with no known cure.
