Dr. Timothy Ariyanayagam

Dr. Timothy Ariyanayagam graduated from University College London in 2011. He gained an Intercalated BA in neuroscience from the University of Cambridge in 2008 and became a Doctor of Medicine from University of East Anglia in 2020. He underwent his radiology training at Norwich Radiology Academy and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2016. Dr Ariyanayagam gained a Fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology from McMaster University, in Hamilton, Canada from 2019-2020. He was appointed as a Consultant Radiologist at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in Reading in 2020. Dr Ariyanayagam is a General Radiologist with subspecialty interest in musculoskeletal imaging.

Dr Marjon Bell

Dr Marjon Bell graduated from University of Sheffield Medical School in 1989. She undertook general medical training on rotation in Mansfield and Reading obtaining her MRCP in 1994. Dr Bell then trained in radiology in Oxford. She has been a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) since 2001. Dr Bell had specialist training in breast imaging in Oxford and Reading. She was appointed Consultant Radiologist at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in 2003. Dr Bell is a general radiologist with subspecialty interest in breast imaging and a Member of the British Society of Breast Radiology.

Dr James Briggs

Dr Briggs is a consultant interventional and diagnostic radiologist working in Berkshire and London. Having been awarded a first class degree in Physics from University College London, he subsequently qualified in medicine in 2007. After training in medicine in Oxford, he undertook specialist training in clinical radiology before fellowship training in interventional radiology, becoming one of the first specialists to receive a certificate of completion of specialist training (CCT) in clinical radiology, and also achieve certification of sub-specialty training in interventional radiology. Dr Briggs has a wide range of experience within interventional radiology, specialising in the field of embolisation therapy. Dr Briggs also has an extensive diagnostic radiology practice specialising in cardiovascular and thoracic imaging, including coronary artery disease, lung cancer and interstitial lung disease.

Dr Jane Chen

Dr Jane Chen graduated from the University of Leicester Medical School in 2010 with an intercalated BSc (First Class) in medical research. She completed her Foundation programme in North Central Thames, obtaining her MRCP in 2013. Dr Chen completed her general radiology training in Oxford Deanery and became a fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2015. She has an MSc in health policy, planning and financing from London School of Economics and political science, which she took between 2016 and 2017. Dr Chen gained a Fellowship in head & neck radiology at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford from 2017 to 2018. She also gained a Fellowship in neuroradiology at the Austin Hospital, in Melbourne, Australia between 2019 and 2020. Dr Chen was appointed as a consultant radiologist at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in Reading in 2020. She is a general radiologist with subspecialty interests in head & neck and neuroimaging.

Dr Elspeth Elson

Dr Elspeth Elson graduated from Guy’s Hospital Medical School 1990. She completed her general medical training in London, Basingstoke and Essex, obtaining MRCP in 1994. She trained in radiology at Northwick Park Hospital and Guy’s Hospital London becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 1997. Dr Elson undertook specialist training in MR oncology imaging at the Royal Marsden Hospital. She was appointed consultant radiologist at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in 2000. Dr Elson is a general radiologist with subspecialty interest in head & neck, chest and colorectal imaging. She is a member of the British Head and Neck Imaging Society.

Dr Shezad Hussain

Dr Shezad Hussain graduated from the University of Leeds Medical School in 1995. He undertook general Surgical training at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading and the Bundaberg Base Hospital in Queensland (Australia), obtaining the MRCS(Ed) in 2002. Dr Hussain completed his radiology training at University College Hospital in London and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2006. He was appointed Consultant Radiologist at the West Middlesex University Hospital in 2008. He was subsequently appointed to the same post at the Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in 2009. Dr Hussain is a general radiologist with subspecialty interest in musculoskeletal and head & neck imaging. He is a member of the British Society of Skeletal Radiologists and the British Head and Neck Imaging Society.

Dr Tom Mills

Dr Tom Mills graduated from The Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in 1991. He trained on general medical rotation in London and Eastbourne, obtaining his MRCP in 1994. He then spent a year spent abroad working at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, Australia. Dr Mills then took radiology training at St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospital. Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists since 2000. He went on to undertake specialist training in musculoskeletal radiology at the Nuffield Orthopaedic centre in Oxford. In 2002 he was appointed Consultant Radiologist at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Mills is a general radiologist with subspecialty interests in musculoskeletal radiology and nuclear medicine.

Dr Deepa Rangarajan

Dr Deepa Rangarajan graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School 2000. She gained an intercalated degree in Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology at St Mary’s Hospital in 1997. She trained on general medical rotation in London and Sydney obtaining her MRCP in 2003. Dr Rangarajan then underwent general radiology training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, London becoming a fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2007. She won a Fellowship in Cross Sectional imaging at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge between 2009 and 2010. Dr Rangarajan was appointed Consultant Radiologist at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in 2010. She is a general radiologist with subspecialty interests in oncological and gynaecological imaging.

Dr Archie Speirs

Dr Archie Speirs graduated from St Georges’ Hospital Medical School, London in 1999. He also graduated with intercalated BSc with honours in Biomedical sciences. He completed his general physician training in London and Sydney and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2004. Dr Speirs completed his specialist radiology training at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2008. Dr Speirs gained an Interventional Radiology fellowship at Guys and St Thomas’ in 2008. He gained an Interventional Radiology Fellowship Imperial NHS Hospitals in 2009. He was appointed Consultant Radiologist at The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in 2010. Dr Speirs is a general radiologist with subspecialty interests in interventional radiology and cardiovascular imaging. He is a member of the British Society of Interventional Radiology (BSIR) and Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE).

Dr Ranald Stuart

Dr Ranald Stuart graduated from the Medical School at the University of Edinburgh in 1991, also graduating with an intercalated honours degree in Biochemistry. His medical training took place in general medical rotational posts in Edinburgh teaching hospital rotations between 1992 and 1995. His specialist radiology registrar training took place in Newcastle-upon-Tyne between 1995 and 2000, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists. Following this he worked abroad between 2001 and 2002, gaining a Fellowship in Radiology at Royal Perth Hospital, in Perth, Western Australia, specialising in musculoskeletal and chest radiology. Dr Stuart was appointed as Consultant Radiologist at Royal Berkshire NHS Trust in Reading in 2002. He is a General radiologist with subspecialty interest in musculoskeletal and chest imaging.

Dr Tara Barton

Dr Tara Barton is a general radiologist with subspeciality interests in gastrointestinal and chest imaging. She graduated from the University of Wales, College of Medicine in 1998. She gained an intercalated degree in clinical pharmacology in 1997. Dr Barton completed her general medical training in Cardiff, obtaining her MRCP in 2001. She undertook general radiology training in Cardiff, becoming a fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2007. Dr Barton was a Consultant Radiologist at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust 2008-2016. She was appointed as Consultant Radiologist at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in 2016.

Dr Jennifer Braid graduated from the University of Leicester Medical School in 2000. She underwent general medical training in North Staffordshire, obtaining her MRCP in 2004. She trained in general radiology in North Staffordshire, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2008. Dr Braid was a Consultant Radiologist at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust 2012-2019. She became a Consultant Radiologist at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in Reading in 2019.

Dr Andrea Brown

Dr Neil Derbyshire graduated from University of The Oxford School of Medicine in 1984. He underwent general medical training on rotation in Cardiff, obtaining MRCP in 1987. His radiology training was at Oxford and he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 1992. Dr Derbyshire spent a further year training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia. He was appointed Consultant Radiologist at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in 1995. Dr Derbyshire is a general radiologist with subspecialty interest in neurological, chest and urological imaging.

Dr Matthew Gibson

Dr Matthew Gibson is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist in Berkshire. He graduated from the University of Nottingham Medical school in 1986. He then trained in general medicine in South Manchester and obtained MRCP in 1990. Dr Gibson subsequently trained in general and interventional radiology at the prestigious radiology department at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington and achieved his FRCR in 1996. Dr Gibson was appointed as consultant radiologist with an interest in interventional radiology at Royal Berkshire Hospital in 1997. At the same time he joined Berkshire Imaging and has been practicing radiology privately in Berkshire for the last 23 years. He has extensive experience and expertise in all aspects of interventional radiology. He maintains a specialist interest in cross-sectional imaging including gastroenterology, gynaecology and oncology. His particular areas of interest include peripheral vascular/arterial intervention, venous intervention including vascular access (PICCS, Ports etc) and image guided biopsy. Dr Gibson has published more than 100 research papers. He has held various management positions in the Royal Berkshire Hospital and is currently Clinical Lead for Vascular Services. He has been Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee at Spire Dunedin Hospital since 2018. Dr Gibson prides himself delivery high quality holistic care. His emphasis is on empathetic communication with his patient and meticulous attention to detail whilst operating.

Dr Jane Moloney graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2000. Before this she gained an Intercalated degree in Biochemistry, at Charing Cross Hospital in 1997. She underwent her general medical training both in Adelaide, Australia and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London. She obtained her MRCP in 2004. Dr Moloney trained in Radiology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2007. She was appointed Consultant Radiologist at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in 2011. Dr Moloney is a general radiologist with a subspecialty interest in breast imaging.

Professor Mark Little

Professor Mark Little graduated with distinction from Norwich medical school prior to his foundation training in Cambridge. He was appointed as National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Academic Clinical Fellow (ACF) in Clinical Radiology at Oxford in 2011. He became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in 2011. He gained a Fellowship in Interventional Radiology at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust between 2014 and 2017. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2014. Professor Little was appointed as Consultant Radiologist at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in 2017. He is a general radiologist with subspecialty interest in interventional radiology and uroradiology. Professor Little is a member of the British Society of Interventional Radiology (BSIR) and Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE).

Dr Charlotte Robinson

Dr Charlotte Robinson graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine at St Mary’s in 2000. She obtained a BA (Oxon) in Physiological Sciences in 1997. She underwent general medical training at the Hammersmith Hospitals and West Middlesex Hospital obtaining MRCP in 2003. Dr Robinson completed her Radiology training at University College Hospital London and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2007. She won a Fellowship in gastrointestinal radiology at University College Hospital, London between 2008 and 2009. She then worked in Canada where she won a Fellowship in abdominal imaging at Vancouver General Hospital between 2009 and 2010. Dr Robinson was appointed Consultant Radiologist at The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in 2010. She is a general radiologist with a subspecialty interest in gastrointestinal and urological imaging. Dr Robinson is a Member of the British Society of Gastrointestinal Radiologists and the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiologists.

Dr Jonathan Stedman

Dr Jonathan Stedman graduated from University of Nottingham Medical School in 2006 with an intercalated BMedSci (First Class) in public health medicine. He completed the Foundation programme in Lincoln and Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, obtaining MRCP in 2009. Dr Stedman was awarded the Weston Scholarship to undertake an MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Nottingham, in 2009 (Distinction). He completed his Radiology training in Oxford, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2012. Dr Stedman went on to complete his subspeciality training in paediatric radiology as Fellow at Oxford Children’s Hospital and Honorary Fellow at Great Ormond Street Hospital 2013-2014. He is a Member of the British Society of Paediatric Radiologists and the British Society of Musculoskeletal Radiologists. Dr Stedman was appointed consultant radiologist at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in 2014. He is a General radiologist with a subspeciality interest in paediatric and musculoskeletal imaging.
