Dr Mary Wain
Dr Mary Wain is a Consultant Dermatologist at the St John's Institute of Dermatology, specialising in skin cancer and general dermatology. Dr Wain has worked exclusively in Dermatology since 2000, completing her training at the St John's Institute of Dermatology, Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals, and was later appointed Consultant Dermatologist at St George's Hospital, London. During her training she undertook research in cutaneous lymphoma and was awarded an MD by the University of London. Dr Wain qualified from the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals, University of London in 1997 with honours in five subjects and was awarded the college Silver Medal, Medicine Medal and Surgery Prize, undertaking a BSc in Physiology during her undergraduate medical training, for which she was awarded First Class Honours and the college Physiology Prize. After qualification she completed postgraduate training in general medicine at St Thomas' Hospital, London and obtained the MRCP.

Dr Zinu Philipose
Dr. Zinu Philipose is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with sub-speciality training in Liver diseases, and he works for both the National Health Service and the private sector. Having qualified in Medicine in 1995, he underwent his specialist registrar training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology (Liver diseases) at the South Thames London Deanery, where he also worked at the King's Liver unit, the largest Liver transplant centre in the UK. Dr. Philipose's training included a research period at Croydon University Hospital, and two years of Liver diseases sub-specialty training. He then completed a Senior Clinical Fellowship at St Mark's Hospital, a renowned centre for Gastroenterology Academics and a tertiary centre for intestinal failure and inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Philipose was appointed as a Consultant Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist in 2009 at Worthing Hospital, where he helped establish several service developments. During this period, he was the only ERCP endoscopist for the hospital and was leading the set-up of the newly built ERCP endoscopy room. From 2016, he started working at Croydon University Hospital with a focus on setting up the Liver disease services, and he has successfully set up the Viral Hepatitis Network. Dr. Philipose continues to serve as the Hepatology Lead at Croydon University Hospital and also works at St George's Hospital performing Endoscopic Ultrasound for disorders of the pancreas, gall bladder, and biliary tract. He covers diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies for the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract. With over 10 years of experience at a consultant level, he has managed all aspects of gastroenterology and has been exposed to and managed patients with a wide variety of gastroenterological and liver disorders. Dr. Philipose believes in patient-tailored care, with a focus on improving patient well-being, and he is happy to share his expertise in gastroenterology and liver diseases.

Dr. Dulmini Kariyawasam
Dr. Dulmini Kariyawasam has been a consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology, and General internal medicine at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation trust since 2010. She was awarded a Masters in Diabetes and Endocrinology by the King’s College London in 2008 and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians, London in 2015. She leads young adult diabetes and endocrine services at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital and has a special interest in the management of young adults with both diabetes and endocrine problems. She has expertise in managing type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and a broad range of endocrine problems. She works closely with a team of multidisciplinary members such as specialist nurses, radiologists, surgeons providing comprehensive diabetes and endocrine care. She has pioneered innovative models of care for young adults and has won national awards in the field. She leads the undergraduate Diabetes and endocrine teaching at the trust for the Kings College London medical school and is a Senior Lecturer of the King’s College London.

Dr Angad Dhillon
Dr Angad Dhillon is a highly experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist with a specialist interest in endoscopy, based at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust in London. He obtained his medical degree from Imperial College London, and completed his postgraduate training in hospitals across London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Dr Dhillon underwent a 3-year advanced endoscopy fellowship post at St Mark’s Hospital, where he received specialist training in advanced endoscopic techniques for the safe and effective removal of gastrointestinal polyps. He has also conducted research in the diagnosis and treatment of precancer and early cancer in the bowel, and has published extensively in areas of endoscopy and inflammatory bowel disease. As a National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme accredited endoscopist, Dr Dhillon performs regular screening colonoscopy lists at the University Hospital Lewisham, which is the bowel cancer screening hub for South East London. He leads the complex polypectomy and capsule endoscopy service at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and his specialist interests include the diagnosis and management of diseases and disorders affecting the oesophagus, stomach, small and large bowel, and liver. Dr Dhillon prioritises the highest quality and comfortable day-case gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures for both diagnosis and therapy, and offers a holistic approach to healthcare by ensuring that the wider impact of a patient’s symptoms on their life is addressed. He also ensures that his patients are fully involved in the subsequent therapeutic decision-making process.

Dr. Anand Velusamy is a Consultant Endocrinologist at Guy's and St. Thomas Hospital and his private practice is based at HCA London Bridge/Shard. Mr Charis Kyriakides
Mr Charis Kyriakides is a highly experienced Consultant General and Upper GI Surgeon with a special interest in laparoscopic benign biliary disease and open and laparoscopic hernia surgery. He has been serving a large and diverse community in South London as a consultant surgeon at Croydon University Hospital. Mr Kyriakides completed his graduate medical degree with distinction at Semmelweis University School of Medicine and specialised in General Surgery in Athens, Greece, before further training in the UK. He then underwent a four-year fellowship in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery at the Hammersmith Hospital (Imperial College), followed by two years at the Royal London Hospital (Barts Health), where he gained valuable experience in benign and malignant hepatobiliary and pancreatic disease. Since 2015, Mr Kyriakides has been a General and Upper GI Consultant and was appointed at Croydon University Hospital in 2020. He is a published author in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research work in international meetings and conferences. He is also passionate about teaching undergraduates as well as at the Royal College of Surgeons courses and workshops. Mr Hasan Al Chalabi
Mr Al Chalabi is an experienced Consultant General Surgeon specialising in colorectal and laparoscopic surgery. He qualified in Medicine from the University of Baghdad in 1999, before moving to Dublin, Ireland where he completed his surgical training. Following this, he undertook advanced training in colorectal conditions at St James Hospital - Dublin and Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, London. He has a particular interest in the management of small and large colon diseases, colorectal cancer, and abdominal surgery. He also has extensive experience in performing hernia surgery and keyhole surgery. Mr Al Chalabi's research includes enhanced recovery to promote effective and rapid rehabilitation and early discharge. Mr Johnathan Hubbard is a Consultant Endocrine and General Surgeon, he is a specialist Endocrine Surgeon. Johnathan Hubbard graduated from Newcastle University Medical School in 1991. He completed his training in General and Endocrine surgery in Newcastle in 2002. This included two years Molecular Biology based research, completing an MD in 2001. He was awarded the Intercollegiate FRCS in General Surgery with specialist interest in Endocrine Surgery in 2001. In 2004 he was the first English surgeon to be awarded the European Board Exam Qualification in Endocrine Surgery. He worked as Assistant in Endocrine Surgery in Marseille with Prof Jean-Francois Henry in 2001-2002 where he gained experience in Minimally Invasive techniques of parathyroid surgery including Video Assisted Parathyroidectomy. He also gained a large experience in Laparoscopic Adrenal surgery and thyroid cancer surgery.

Dr Helen Fidler
Dr Helen Fidler is a Consultant Gastroenterologist, appointed as a Consultant Gastroenterologist in 1998, overseeing the huge expansion of her gastroenterology department while gaining a wealth of clinical experience from an increasing population catchment area since then. Dr Fidler qualified with a first class degree from Guys Hospital in 1987, training in London in centres of excellence including University College Hospital and The Royal Free Hospital. Dr Fidler has maintained her research interests in irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease and especially the effect that the symptoms have on patient’s quality of life. Unusually, she has a particular interest in the anxious patient and has built up a multidisciplinary team to support people who would benefit from a holistic approach to troublesome symptoms. In addition to her interest in clinical gastroenterology she has national roles which reflect the high esteem of her colleagues - both as an elected member of BMA Council and as Deputy Chair of the BMA UK Consultants Committee.

Dr Rachael Morris-Jones is a Dermatology Consultant at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in London, and undertakes private practice at London Bridge Hospital, One Welbeck Skin Health & Allergy and 55 Harley Street. She specialises in General Adult and Paediatric Dermatology, and is highly respected both nationally and internationally in the field of Dermatology. Dr Sharon Wong is a highly trained Consultant Dermatologist working in London. She completed her higher specialist training in dermatology at some of Londons most prestigious teaching hospitals including Barts and the London, the Royal Free and the Homerton Foundation Trust hospital. She specialises in hair and scalp disorders and qualified from St George's Hospital Medical School in 2001, where she also undertook an intercalated BSc in Clinical Genetics. For her outstanding performance, she has received numerous honors and prizes and her commitment to clinical excellence saw her complete her higher training while working in some of the most prestigious London hospitals for dermatology including the Royal Free Hospital and the Barts Health NHS Trust. As an well-respected physician in her area, she has presented extensively, both nationally and internationally and she is the author of numerous published articles. In 2012, Dr. Wong was appointed as a Consultant Dermatologist at the Homerton University Hospital where she currently runs a highly successful NHS Hair Clinic. Dr Jake Powrie
Dr Powrie is a leading specialist in diabetes and endocrinology. He has a wealth of experience gained from working at the top level in the highly acclaimed diabetes and endocrine unit at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in London and was head of this department for over 17 years. His initial medical training was in Scotland at the University of Aberdeen. He then moved to St Thomas' Hospital in London to complete his specialist training and a further Doctorate degree which was awarded in 1996. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of both London and Edinburgh, in 1999 and 2000. Dr Powrie was appointed a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in 1997. Shortly thereafter he was appointed head of the Department and continued to run this large, internationally renowned, multidisciplinary unit for 17 years. He was responsible for making many innovative changes and advances in care ensuring that this service remained in the forefront of advances in patient treatment and clinical research. He also trained medical specialists and other healthcare professionals from many other parts of the world.

Dr Mayur Kumar is a Consultant Gastroenterologist, HPB Physician and Interventional Endoscopist at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and he also sees patients privately at The HCA at The Shard and the London Bridge Hospital. He specialises in oesophageal, liver, pancreato-biliary diseases, inflammatory bowel disease and advanced endoscopy. Dr Kumar completed his specialist training in internal medicine and gastroenterology in London and the south east and obtained his Certificate of Completion in 2013. He is a JAG-accredited endoscopist and performs OGD, colonoscopy , Sigmoidoscopy and ERCP. Dr Kumar is also an accredited endoscopist for the National Bowel Screening Programme. He has worked as a Fellow at University College Hospital London, where he trained in advanced endoscopy and ERCP. Following completion of this, he was appointed as a substantive Consultant for the NHS in 2014. He has also presented several abstracts in both national and international conferences and had numerous papers in peer reviewed journals published. Dr Kumar has ongoing clinical research interests into pancreato-biliary diseases and endoscopy. He holds memberships of the British Society of Gastroenterology, Royal College of Physicians, London, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and has represented gastroenterology trainees as a trainee representative on the endoscopy committee for the British Society of Gastroenterology. Professor Mark Westwood is a Cardiologist currently based at the private practices 120 Old Broad Street and London Bridge Hospital. His current post is St Bartholomew's Hospital, London. Dr Nemesha Desai
Dr Nemesha Desai is a Consultant Dermatologist at the St. John's Institute of Dermatology, Guy's and St. Thomas' NHS Trust in addition to establishing and running a large tertiary clinic for patients with complex acne and hidradenitis at Guy's Hospital. Her interests include general and medical dermatology, acne, eczema, psoriasis, hidradenitis, skin cancer, moles and medical education. Dr Desai completed her medical training with honours at King's College London, speciality training in dermatology in London with sub-speciality experience in medical dermatology at the University of Miami and postgraduate training in medical education at the University of London. She was awarded CCT dermatology in Nov 2009. Dr Desai is a clinical lecturer at King's College London, lead for GP education at St. John's Institute of Dermatology and BAD (British Association of Dermatologists) education subcommittee representative for GP education. Her clinical service works closely with the department of genetics and molecular medicine at King's College London assessing genetic factors in hidradenitis. She is also part of a European panel developing clinical guidelines in this area.
