Mr Simon Lambert

Mr Simon Lambert is a highly experienced Consultant Surgeon with specialist expertise in surgery of the shoulder and elbow, as well as trauma surgery. Mr Lambert is based in London at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. He also works privately for HCA Healthcare UK. His specialist areas of interest include shoulder replacement, shoulder revision replacement, joint replacement, elbow replacement, elbow revision replacement, clavicle and humerus fractures and rotator cuff disease. In 1984 Mr Lambert graduated with a medical degree from Charing Cross Medical School. He then embarked upon extensive orthopaedics training in London as part of a rotational programme, and also completed a fellowship in Switzerland. In 1996, he was appointed consultant at the University Hospital of Southampton and, in 1998, was honoured by the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and Elbow with a highly esteemed North American Travelling Fellowship. Mr Lambert also has a passion for research in a number of orthopaedic areas including elbow replacement, as well as the anatomy of the musculocutaneous nerve and has published over 100 publications in leading medical journals. He also devotes his time outside of clinical practice to teaching and training, offering courses to GPs focused in examination of the shoulder and elbow and advice on when and when not to refer patients. He has also received several awards throughout his career, including the Wessex Regional Training Programme's Trainer of the Year 2000–2001.

Mr Cobiella is the visionary behind The Shoulder Practice and spearheads the Upper Limb section at the ISEH (Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health), one of the globally recognized research centres endorsed by the International Olympic Committee. He notably contributed to the medical team during the London 2012 Olympics and holds membership in the NFL Physician Society.

He completed his core surgical training in London and Surrey, before completing his orthopaedic training in South West London. Mr Mobasheri's specialist interest is spinal surgery and he has completed a fellowship in complex spinal surgery at the internationally renowned Krembil neuroscience centre in Toronto, Canada. Mr Mobasheri was appointed Consultant at Imperial Healthcare NHS trust in 2012 where he now co-runs the spinal service and is part of the vertebral compression fracture service. Mr Mobasheri provides assessment and spine care for a wide range of spinal conditions and can provide both surgical and non-surgical treatment for patients with back and neck pain.
