Cathy Stewart

Providing a quality scanning service that is parent-focused and that is all about the unique bonding to the unborn child, is the aim of The Baby Scan Studio Director Cathy Stewart who leads our service. Cathy originally qualified as a Radiographer in 1986 and then qualified in Ultrasound in 1992. She worked in the NHS as a Sonographer for 5 years until joining GE Healthcare - the Number 1 manufacturer of Ultrasound Equipment globally. ​ Using her clinical expertise, she worked internationally for several years in product development which involved her in research and testing of new technologies such as 3D and 4D imaging and Contrast media in Ultrasound. ​ After a short career break to have children, Cathy then worked for several private clinics in London before founding CS Partners Medical - The Baby Scan Studio. In recent times, Cathy has been an invited speaker at BMUS (British Medical Ultrasound Society) meetings, at the Annual scientific conference of BMUS and as a guest lecturer at Liverpool University. ​ In 2019 Cathy presented a research paper on 3D imaging in TVT mesh complications to the ISUOG meeting in Berlin and the BMUS conference in Harrogate. ​ Cathy is part of the Educational committee at BMUS (British Medical Ultrasound Society) and jointly organises national ultrasound training days.

Jo Bastin is a Midwife- Sonographer who initially trained as a Midwife and qualified in 1991. After enjoying midwifery for several years Jo wanted to extend her practice and experience into Ultrasound and so took up the challenge of a new speciality. She qualified in Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1991 and has since then become Superintendant Sonographer at Wexham Park Hospital. With her background in midwifery, Jo is able to bring great depth of knowledge to the team of Sonographers at The Baby Scan Studio. She enjoys being able to spend time with parents to be to show them their unborn child in a relaxed and unpressured environment which is the aim of The Baby Scan Studio.

Sylvie is an experienced Sonographer working in both NHS and private settings. She performs Abdominal ultrasound as well as Obstetrics and Gynaecology and she currently also works at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford. Sylvie enjoys the friendly but professional atmosphere at The Baby Scan Studio, scanning on Mondays

Shradha originally qualified as a Radiographer and then specialised in Ultrasound qualifying in 1984. She has worked in both the NHS and Private practice mainly in London. She has worked at CDS ultrasound, The Portland Hospital and Queen Charlottes among others. She has experience in IVF patients and high-level obstetrics. Shradha has worked in a variety of medical settings both NHS and privately. She trained in London gaining the DMU qualification in 1984 and amongst others has worked at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Queen Charlottes and The Portland. Shradha enjoys working in obstetrics and with IVF patients as she feels it is a privilege and pleasure to be part of the bonding and ‘magic’ of pregnancy. Shradha mainly works with us on Saturdays.

Holly is an experienced Sonographer specialising in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She trained at Chelsea and Westminster In ultrasound although she began her medical life as a nurse, qualifying in 2010. Holly has a special interest in Early pregnancy and also has great experience with Doppler studies in later pregnancy. Holly lives locally and is a great addition to our team
