Professor Davor Jurkovic

Davor Jurkovic was first appointed a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at King’s College Hospital, London in 1997. In 2008 he moved to the University College Hospital, London, where he was appointed a Director of Gynaecology Diagnostic and Outpatient Treatment Unit. The Unit provides a novel model of gynaecological care which integrates ultrasound examination into clinical care with emphasis on one stop clinics, conservative management of many benign gynaecological conditions and better use of outpatient operating facilities. More recently has also been appointed Professor of Gynaecology at University College London.

Ms Tejal Amin is a Consultant Gynaecologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Her main areas of expertise are early pregnancy and gynaecological ultrasound, emergency gynaecology and benign gynaecological surgery, including outpatient procedures. She regularly manages a wide range of gynaecological conditions including menstrual disorders, pelvic pain and menopausal symptoms.

Ms Naaila Aslam

Having graduated from the University of Leeds with a distinction in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1994, she underwent her postgraduate training in London and Bristol. During this time, she completed a two-year research fellowship in early pregnancy and gynaecology ultrasound at King’s College Hospital, London. Her main area of research was the role of gynaecology ultrasound in the assessment of ovarian tumours and she was awarded a research degree (MD) from the University of London in 2006. She has published and presented her work on early pregnancy and gynaecology ultrasound both nationally and internationally.

Dr Lucrezia de Braud

She obtained her medical degree from the University of Milan in 2013 and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency with honors in 2019. She spent five years working as a clinical research fellow at University College London Hospital under the supervision of Professor Davor Jurkovic. During her fellowship she underwent advanced training in gynaecological ultrasound and became an expert in the diagnosis and management of a wide variety of gynaecological abnormalities. She has also been engaged in the academic activity in the department and has developed collaboration with Sorbonne University in Paris on a project looking at the use of artificial intelligence for improving ultrasound diagnosis in early pregnancy.

Ms Sarah Flint

Sarah Flint qualified from Kings College Hospital in 1988 with a prize in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and distinctions in Pathology, Medicine and Pharmacology. She trained in hospitals in the South East including Kings College Hospital and St Georges Hospital. She completed a two year research fellowship at Kings College Hospital where she trained in both Gynaecology ultrasound and Fetal Medicine under the direction of Professor Davor Jurkovic and Professor Kypros Nicolaides.

Mr Dimitri Mavrelos

Mr Dimitrios Mavrelos is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Specialist in Reproductive Medicine. He leads the prestigious Reproductive Medicine Unit at University College London Hospital where he regularly consults on general fertility, recurrent miscarriage and IVF. He performs the full spectrum of minimal access surgery for reproductive medicine.

Mr Joel Naftalin

Mr Joel Naftalin is a full-time Consultant Gynaecologist at University College London Hospitals. His main areas of expertise are early pregnancy and gynaecological ultrasound, emergency gynaecology and complex benign gynaecological surgery that often involves minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery.

Mr Kuhan Rajah

Kuhan Rajah is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based at King’s College Hospital and King’s Fertility. He is accredited as a Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. His areas of expertise are gynaecological and early pregnancy ultrasound, minimally invasive surgery and all aspects of fertility medicine including in vitro fertilization, fertility preservation and recurrent miscarriage.

Ms Jackie Ross

Ms Jackie Ross qualified as a doctor in 1992, having studied medicine and genetics at King’s College London. She was awarded prizes in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Surgery as a medical student. After training for three years as a junior doctor she spent two years in research at King’s College Hospital, specialising in early pregnancy problems and Gynaecological Ultrasound.

Mr Joseph Yazbek

He completed his postgraduate training in London working in several teaching hospitals including King’s College; Guy’s and St Thomas’ and Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea. During his training he undertook a two-year research fellowship investigating the role of gynaecological ultrasound in the management of women with ovarian tumours. The principle conclusion drawn from this research is that the quality of an ultrasound examination has a clear positive effect on the management of women with ovarian tumours. He was awarded a research degree (MD) in 2009, going on to complete his general training and subspecialisation in gynaecological oncology surgery at the West London Gynaecological Cancer Centre in 2012.
