Mr Charles Evans

Mr Evans completed basic surgical training in London and achieved MD from the University of London following research into colorectal cancer and minimally invasive surgery. He undertook higher surgical training in the Oxford Deanery following which he was selected for the National Ethicon Fellowship in Advanced Colorectal Surgery. He completed a further fellowship in complex colorectal surgery. Currently, Charles is the Head of the Gastrointestinal Surgery at the University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. He is a consultant Colorectal and General surgeon. He has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery performing robotic and laparoscopic surgery. He trains surgeons across Europe and the UK in robotic surgery Mr Charles Evans is part of the Colorectal & Robotic Surgery Centre, part of HCA Healthcare UK; working in partnership with Mr Danilo Miskovic to deliver a bespoke colorectal and robotic surgical service. The centre is based at The Wellington Hospital and at the Platinum Medical Centre.

Dr Oliver Segal

Dr Oliver Segal is one of the leading heart specialists (cardiologist & electrophysiologist) in the UK, practising privately at The Harley Street Clinic and at Barts Heart Centre, St. Bartholomew's (the largest cardiac centre in Europe) and University College Hospitals for his NHS patients. He is highly recommended by testimonials from his patients in treating heart rhythm problems with a very patient-focussed approach. He graduated from King's College London in 1995 and has been dedicated to cardiology, specialising in cardiac electrophysiology and devices to help treat patients with heart rhythm problems and palpitations, such as atrial fibrillation, SVT, ectopics, ventricular tachycardia and slo heart rhythms. He trained at St. Mary's & St. George's Hospitals in London as well as obtaining a Fellowship in Electrophysiology & Devices at Prof George Klein's world-renowned centre in London, Ontario, Canada in 2007. Dr Sam Firoozi

Dr Sam Firoozi is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at St George’s Hospital in London. He graduated in 1995 from Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals Medical School and subsequently completed his medical and cardiology training in several London teaching hospitals. In 1999 he was awarded a British Heart Foundation Fellowship enabling clinical research into heart muscle disease and sports cardiology at St George’s University of London. Between 2002 and 2008, Dr Firoozi completed training in general and interventional cardiology, including an interventional cardiology fellowship at St George’s Hospital. This lead to his appointment as consultant general and interventional cardiologist in 2009. He has a special interest in high-risk coronary intervention and structural heart intervention, including TAVI. He has developed a very high-volume interventional practice and regularly consults a large number of patients. Dr Firoozi is also involved in higher medical education for undergraduate and postgraduate students and has run training courses. He is also an active member of several organisations including The British Cardiovascular Society (BCS) and The British Cardiac Interventional Society (BCIS) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicans.

Mr Danilo Miskovic

Mr. Miskovic is a colorectal surgeon. He trained in Switzerland and the UK. His specialist interest is minimally-invasive, particularly robotic surgery for cancer and other diseases of the bowel, including inflammatory bowel disease and diverticulitis. Mr. Miskovic has received specialist training in some of the best colorectal units in the country, honing his skill and expertise at every opportunity. He is currently working as a consultant at St Mark's Hospital, a worldwide unique specialist hospital for the treatment of bowel disease. In addition to his busy practice, Mr. Miskovic is highly active in the field of research and is continuously contributing to current research. He is also a trainer for minimally-invasive and robotic surgery, nationally and internationally. Mr. Danilo Miskovic is part of the Colorectal & Robotic Surgery Centre, part of HCA Healthcare UK; working in partnership with Mr Charles Evans to deliver a bespoke colorectal and robotic surgical service. Dr Konstantinos Savvatis

Konstantinos Savvatis is a Consultant Cardiologist in the Inherited Cardiovascular Diseases Unit at Barts Heart Centre in London and Honorary Associate Professor in University College London and Queen Mary University London. He trained at the Department of Cardiology at the Charité University Hospital in Berlin, Germany, one of the largest centres in Europe focusing on dilated and inflammatory cardiomyopathy. He acquired his PhD on the immunomodulatory role of matrix metalloproteinases in acute myocarditis and continued working as Clinician Scientist at the Charité and the Centre for Regenerative Therapies focusing on the role of fibrosis and fibroblasts in heart failure and cardiomyopathy. His main clinical and academic interests are genetic and inflammatory cardiomyopathies and, especially, the risk assessment and therapy of patients with dilated cardiomyopathy, hypertrophic and arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy, myocarditis and cardiac involvement in Neuromuscular Conditions (limb girdle, Duchenne and Becker’s muscular dystrophy, myotonic dystrophy, Friedreich’s ataxia). He is specialised in advanced cardiovascular MRI and echocardiography. His work has been published in several high impact journals, such as Nature Communications, Circulation, Circulation Research, JACC and European Heart Journal.

Professor Giuseppe Kito Fusai

Professor Giuseppe Kito Fusai is a Consultant Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgeon in the Liver Units at the Royal Free Hospital and at The Wellington Hospital and is Professor of Surgery at University College London (UCL). After qualifying at the University of Milan in 1987 and obtaining a Master of Surgery from the University of Parma in 1992, he moved to the UK in 1995 and in 1996 he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He specialised in HPB surgery and Liver Transplant and since 1999 has worked in several centres of excellence including King’s College Hospital in London and Nagoya University Hospital in Japan. Professor Fusai’s primary clinical and academic interest is in pancreatic cancer, liver metastases and cholangiocarcinoma and in the modalities to treat patients with advanced disease including vascular reconstruction. He is highly trained in Hepato-pancreato-biliary, general and laparoscopic surgery including the treatment of benign conditions such as gallstones and pancreatitis, He has published over 100 peer-reviewed publications and he is a member of various societies and committees, including the European Association of HPB surgery (E-AHPBA), the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO), the European Surgical Association (ESA) and the International Study Group for Pancreatic Surgery (ISGPS). He is the President of the Italian Medical Society of Great Britain (IMSoGB) and in 2010 he founded Fiorina, a charitable fund for the treatment of pancreatic cancer which supports several clinical and research projects.

Dr Zachary Whinnett

Dr Whinnett is a cardiologist with a specialist interest in pacing, heart rhythm disturbances and heart failure. He performs ablation for atrial and ventricular arrhythmias and implantation of pacemakers including cardia resynchronisation devices and defibrillators. Dr Whinnett is an international expert in the field of cardiac pacemaker implantation and treatment of heart rhythm problems. He is frequently invited to present at the major international conferences. He regularly trains other cardiologists from around the world in advanced techniques for pacemaker implantation. He leads a research program at Imperial College London which is focused on developing more effective treatments for people with heart rhythm problems. He has published many scientific papers in medical journals.

Dr Nick Linton

Dr Nick Linton works as a consultant Cardiologist specializing in heart rhythm problems. It is a field he finds hugely rewarding. Dr Linton treats patients who have a wide range of presentations, such as palpitation, chest pain, shortness of breath, or collapses. He performs cardiac ablation procedures and pacemaker implantation. Before pursuing a career in medicine Nick Linton obtained a master's degree in engineering, economics and management from Oxford University. After a period developing new cardiac output monitoring technology, he then studied medicine at King's College, London and qualified with distinction in 2002. He obtained membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP) and trained in cardiology at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (St Mary's and Hammersmith hospitals), St Thomas' Hospital and also completed a clinical fellowship in Bordeaux, a world renowned centre for cardiac electrophysiology. Dr Linton is an expert in clinical assessment, investigation as well as invasive procedures for heart problems. As a cardiologist with a background in engineering, he utilised this unique experience in medical research. He has a particular interest in ablation treatments using 3D Mapping technologies. He has developed a leading cardiac mapping system with colleagues at Imperial College.

Mr Osama Naji

Mr Osama Naji is a Consultant Gynaecologist at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital and the Lead for the Women's Rapid Diagnostics Unit at Guy's Cancer Centre. He works in a prestigious tertiary institution that is ranked first in the United Kingdom and 44th in the world. He is specialising in the early detection of gynaecological pre-cancerous conditions using advanced outpatient facilities such as ultrasound, hysteroscopy, and colposcopy, with the goal of reducing the need for major surgery. He is an expert in the field of ultrasound-guided minimally invasive procedures to treat menopause, infertility, early pregnancy, and emergency gynaecological conditions. He is known for his friendly, approachable demeanour, and as a result of his commitment to providing modern care, Mr Naji’s patients glean the benefits of his excellent clinical management with the fast diagnosis, lower risk of complications and a faster recovery. Mr Naji qualified in Baghdad, Iraq, and went on to complete his specialist training at centres of excellence in London and the West Midlands. He gained an MD from Imperial College London for developing novel methods for assessing incomplete caesarean section scar healing by ultrasound, and its' subsequent effects on early pregnancy, infertility, and menstrual bleeding abnormalities. Mr Ahmad Sayasneh

Mr Sayasneh is Consultant Gynaecologist and Gynaecological Oncology Surgeon. His main clinical and research interest is gynaecological surgery and ultrasonography. He developed a special research interest in ovarian cancer (screening, diagnostics and management), with a long track of peer review publications. He has obtained his Doctorate of Medicine MD(Res) degree in gynaecological ultrasonography from Imperial College London. He has completed his subspecialty training in Gynaecological Oncological surgery from Hammersmith Hospital in London and has been a member and an invited speaker in the Faculty panel of the International Ovarian Tumour Analysis Group IOTA and the International Society of Ultrasound in obstetrics and Gynaecology ISUOG in the last 6 years. Mr Sayasneh has obtained his RCOG advanced training in vulval disease and vaginal surgery from Cambridge University Hospitals. He is currently leading on a number of studies in gynae-oncology at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. He has been elected as a Faculty member at The British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy BSGE where he regularly teaches for national and international courses in minimal access and advanced open Gynaecological Surgery including as live surgery. He is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Department of Surgery and Cancer, Medical School, Imperial College London. He is as well an Honorary Senior Lecturer and the Lead for Undergraduate Teaching for Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the School of Medical Education, King's College London.

Dr Dimitri J Hadjiminas

Mr. Dimitri Hadjiminas is a specialist breast, thyroid and parathyroid surgeon. He is currently Consultant Breast Surgeon and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College, London. Mr Hadjiminas runs a rapid (one-stop) diagnostic service for breast problems, as part of a multi-disciplinary team for the treatment of breast cancer. His special interests include surgery for breast cancer, breast reconstruction including partial reconstruction using LD or LICAP/AICAP flaps, other oncoplastic techniques, sentinel node biopsy, augmentations and reductions, thyroid and parathyroid surgery. He performs minimally invasive parathyroid surgery after localisation of an adenoma if necessary under local anaesthesia.

Dr Sundeep S Kalra

Dr Sundeep Kalra is a consultant cardiologist with a specialist interest in interventional cardiology. Having qualified from the University of Cambridge and Imperial College School of Medicine, London, he undertook specialist training in cardiology and interventional cardiology at King’s College Hospital, London. His full-time NHS practice is based at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. He is the currently the cardiology training lead for the Royal Free Hospital Trust. Dr. Kalra is a dedicated and well-respected professional. He is experienced in investigating and treating all cardiac conditions, and sub-specialises in interventional cardiology. He has procedural expertise in percutaneous coronary intervention (angioplasty), including advanced and complex techniques.
