Mr Zameer Shah

Mr Zameer Shah is the Clinical Lead / Head of Department at Guys & St Thomas' Hospitals, the leading Hospitals in the UK. He specialises in treating Hip and Knee conditions. The advent of his distinguished career came through his initial training at Kings College, London. He would later undertake surgical training in Cambridge, Oxford and London. It should come as no surprise that Mr Shah has been awarded numerous prizes and honours throughout his medical career. At the completion of his training he was selected as the International Fellow at the prestigious Insall Scott Kelly Institute and the world famous Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, USA. He returned to the UK and completed a further Fellowship at Guy’s Hospital. Mr Shah’s achievements are not limited to the field of medicine and healthcare: he has furthermore carried out an MBA to completion at Imperial College London and also received a Diploma in Sports Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons. Whilst here, he focused primarily on measuring and improving healthcare performance and quality. Mr Shah has a particular interest in the importance of research and teaching, maintaining his passion for uncovering new advances. To this extent, he is involved in national trials and programmes aimed to further medical and surgical knowledge and is currently Senior Clinical Lecturer at Kings College London.

Mr Fady Sedra

Mr Sedra is an orthopaedic and trauma surgeon with special interest in the spinal surgery. He completed his basic orthopaedic training in Cairo University Egypt and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore. He has been awarded the doctorate degree in research in the field of scoliosis surgery. Mr Sedra finished two prestigious fellowships at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and The Royal London Hospital. He practices spine surgery at a consultant level at the Royal London hospital. He manages complex spine trauma cases including craniocervical, cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. He has special interest spinal deformity surgery both in adult and paediatric age groups. He treats lumbar and cervical disc disease in the adult patients.

Mr Daniel Williams

Mr Daniel Williams is a trauma and orthopaedic surgeon for Barts Health NHS Trust. He provides both elective and trauma care at The Royal London Hospital, London's busiest major trauma centre, and Whipps Cross Hospital. Mr Williams values evidence-based clinical practise and open communication with his patients. Mr Williams has specialist interests in trauma, hand and wrist surgery, elbow surgery, and shoulder surgery. He received his medical qualification from the University of Bristol Medical School and completed his Orthopaedic specialty training on the Percivall Pott Rotation in London. After receiving his Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons in 2017, he completed a two-year fellowship at the Brisbane Hand and Upper Limb Unit in Australia. He is highly trained and proficient in all areas of upper limb surgery, including trauma, arthroscopic wrist and shoulder procedures, microsurgery, and joint replacements (shoulder and hand). His areas of expertise include complex trauma, minimally invasive wrist surgery, and small joint arthroplasty. Mr Williams actively participates in teaching and research and is regularly invited as a faculty member on national courses. He also teaches in the QMUL Trauma Sciences MSC Programme. Mr Williams' research has been published in international peer-reviewed journals and specialist textbooks. He has also presented at national and international meetings.

Mr Suresh Chandrashekar

Mr Suresh Chandrashekar is a Consultant Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgeon in the UK. He held the position of Clinical lead for the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department (2019 - 2022) at the Homerton Healthcare Foundation NHS trust during tough and challenging period of the pandemic. Leading the team, he successfully steered and restored elective services while collaborating with his counterparts in North East London. He believes in teamwork & collaboration within a multi-discplinary framework of surgeons, physicians and other practitioners to deliver the best possible standards of care backed by evidence based practice. Mr Chandrashekar graduated 2001 from the University of Mumbai, India. Following this, he undertook residency training in Surgery in general and Trauma & Orthopaedics, from the St. Petersburg State Medical Academy, Russia during 2001-2004 Mr Chandrashekar, furthered his U.K training in trauma and orthopaedics. This has taken him through specialty rotation across various subspecialty firms in NHS trusts in Manchester, Harlow (Essex) and Royal London Hospital. He successfully passed the Royal College of Surgeons exams securing the Fellowship Diploma for FRCS (Orth) and went on to undertake sub-speciality fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic surgery at The University Hospitals of Southampton Foundation Trust.

Mr Mark Phillips

Mr. Mark Phillips is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with many years of experience in adult hand and wrist surgery, trauma surgery, elbow conditions, and complex injury surgery. He has a particular interest in performance-related conditions in musicians and sees private patients at the London Bridge Hospital. Mr. Phillips earned his primary medical qualification in Cambridge in 1989 and after basic surgical training and a research post at the Royal Free Hospital, he completed specialist training in Orthopaedics & Trauma on the King’s College Hospital rotation. After higher surgical training, he completed two fellowships: one in hand surgery in the Plastic Surgical Department at Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, and a second in fracture reconstruction in the University of Pisa, Italy. After 14 years as an NHS Consultant, the last 12 of which at King’s College Hospital, he now exclusively consults privately. Mr. Phillips is an enthusiastic teacher and has taught at all levels to the public, allied healthcare professionals, medical students, and other consultants. As well as convening courses related to complex fracture management, he has been invited to be a faculty member at meetings around the UK and across Europe. His main area of academic interest at King's was related to the management of bone defects created by high-energy trauma and the use of technology such as growth factors to enhance healing.

Mr Sam Singh

For 16 years Sam Singh was the Lead Foot and Ankle Surgeon at Guys and St Thomas', one of the UK's leading NHS foundation trusts. Through his specialist Foot and Ankle Fellowship Programme, he mentored 15 Consultants, sharing with them insights into his compassionate and highly skilled approach to patient management. A graduate of Cambridge University, he trained in Orthopaedic Surgery in London and completed his specialist training in Boston, Massachusetts. He is the only British Surgeon to date to have been awarded a fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery from Harvard University. Sam Singh offers the most recent, proven techniques for managing all Foot and Ankle Disorders including ankle sports injuries, ligament injuries, arthritis of the foot and ankle, plantar fasciitis, bunions and hammertoes, Morton’s neuroma and tendon disorders, Achilles tendon rupture, and pain and minimally invasive foot surgery. Mr Adel Tavakkolizadeh

Mr Tavakkolizadeh is a highly experienced orthopaedic and upper limb surgeon, with a particular focus on minimally invasive and arthroscopic surgeries. He has completed extensive training, including two fellowships in sports medicine and upper limb surgery, and has been a Consultant Orthopaedic and upper limb surgeon at King's College Hospital since 2008. His areas of expertise include shoulder and elbow surgery, wrist arthroscopies, upper limb fractures, and soft tissue sports injuries. He also has experience in treating nerve compression neuropathies such as cubital and carpal tunnel syndrome. In addition to his clinical work, Mr Tavakkolizadeh is actively involved in research and teaching. He has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and is involved in postgraduate teaching and training. Mr Henry Atkinson

Mr Henry Atkinson is an award winning specialist in trauma and orthopaedic surgery, with particular interest in managing sports injuries and proficiency in dealing with problems of the hip, knee and ankle. He is currently based at North Middlesex University Hospital as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, where his commitment to service awarded him a NHS Clinical Excellence Award in May 2012. In 1998, Mr Atkinson graduated with a medical degree from the University of Edinburgh. In 2008, he was accredited as a Bone and Joint (Trauma and Orthopaedic) Surgeon thanks to further qualifications and extensive training. His training included prestigious fellowships worldwide, including one in Adelaide, Australia, Serbia and Canada, through which he gained a wealth of experience in all types of lower limb surgery. Committed to advancing the field and sharing his expertise, Mr Atkinson provides guidance and advice on the design and execution of many research projects in the field of trauma and orthopaedics, and also lectures in Belgrade, Serbia. Outside of work, Mr Atkinson thoroughly enjoys spending time with his wife and their young family based in North London. He is a highly acclaimed surgeon, who is often praised by patients for the energy and enthusiasm he brings to his practise.

Mr Joydeep Sinha

Mr Joydeep Sinha is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at King’s College Hospital (KCH), London, specialising in shoulder and upper limb surgery. His specialist interests include arthroscopic keyhole shoulder and elbow surgery, shoulder replacement, sports injuries and upper limb trauma. Qualifying from the University of Manchester in 1985, Mr Sinha continued his Surgical SHO Training at the Hammersmith Hospital and St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, gaining experience in General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed his Orthopaedic training in London, working on the KCH and South East Thames Orthopaedic rotations. His Fellowships include working in New York and Seattle, USA and the Wrightington Hospital, UK. During this time, he gained specialist training in trauma, shoulder, elbow and hand surgery. Mr Sinha was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at KCH in 1996 and has since worked with his colleagues to develop the Upper Limb Unit to achieve national and international recognition. He has also been Clinical Lead for Orthopaedics, Clinical Lead for the Day Surgery Unit; and is presently Clinical Director for Surgery at KCH, and Joint CAG 2 Leader (Trauma, Orthopaedics, Plastics and ENT) for King’s Health Partners (KHP).

Professor Venu Kavarthapu

Prof. Venu Kavarthapu is a highly qualified and experienced consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in Lower Limb Orthopaedic Surgery. He has undergone extensive training in specialized areas such as minimally invasive hip surgery, hip arthroplasty, and foot and ankle surgery. Prof. Kavarthapu is currently working at King's College Hospital in London, where he runs a regional young adult hip surgery service and heads a nationally recognized multi-disciplinary complex foot surgery service. Mr Neeraj Garg

Mr Neeraj Garg is an experienced Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon whose NHS practice is based at King’s College Hospital, London. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s Health Partners, King’s College, London, and committed to teaching and training. He trained in plastic surgery overseas and did his specialist higher surgical training in General and Breast Oncoplastic Surgery from London Deanery and completed a prestigious international fellowship in Australia before his first substantive Consultant post at Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust Ipswich. Mr Jerome Davidson

Mr Davidson is the Lead of the Sickle Hip Service at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals. This is a supra-regional service managing a very complex patient group. In addition, Jerome is the Regional Director for London (South) at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
