Mr Khalid Al-Dadah is a Consultant Specialist Knee Surgeon dealing exclusively with the knee. He accepts referrals for a variety of complex pathologies and has a specialist interest in partial knee replacement surgery.

Mr Al-Dadah graduated from the University of Sheffield School of Medicine. His surgical training was at the prestigious Imperial College London, on the Higher Specialist Training Programme, where he spent several years in London’s leading hospitals, from complex tertiary referral units to major trauma centres.

Mr Al-Dadah has expertise in the full range of knee pathologies, from sports injuries – such as meniscal tears and ACL ruptures – to the complete repertoire of knee replacement surgery, including partial, total and revision knee replacements.

Mr Al-Dadah has a dedicated focus on enhanced recovery and aims to carry out all procedures in a single sitting, and therefore enabling his patients to return to their normal function as quickly and as comfortably as possible. To achieve these results, Mr Al-Dadah uses up-to-date modern techniques and equipment, with the most tried and tested evidence-based procedures being the forefront of his practice.

Having undertaken his higher fellowship training in the highly competitive, and world renowned, Oxford Knee Fellowship, he advanced in sports knee ligament reconstructions, cartilage regeneration techniques and meniscal injuries, with a focus on rehabilitating athletes back to their pre-injury level.

Mr Al-Dadah spent a year in the designing centre of the Oxford Partial Knee Replacement, working with the team behind the most used, and most successful partial knee replacement implant in the UK National Joint Registry. As a result, Mr Al-Dadah has a particular interest in partial knee replacements, leading to a rapid recovery and a more natural feeling knee. He has a unique experience in the development of patient pathways.

Mr Al-Dadah has won several awards for his teaching, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Nick Anim is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Kingston University London. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists

He had postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynaecology in the London North West Thames Deanery and worked at Chelsea & Westminster hospital, Queen Charlottes & Chelsea hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital. He undertook clinical research fellowship studying the causes and methods for predicting pre-eclampsia culminating with the award of a PhD by Imperial College London.

Mr Anim has expertise in general and high risk obstetrics including medical complications of pregnancy, particularly hypertension disorders of pregnancy. He encourages normality of pregnancy care and delivery but he also has an open-minded approach to discussing other options of care.

He sees women with a broad range of gynaecological disorders including menstrual disorders, polycystic ovaries, recurrent miscarriages, pelvic pain, fibroids and prolapse. He performs minimal access, abdominal and pelvic surgical procedures. He also offers well-woman gynaecological checks-up.

He has an active research programme focusing on hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and other medical complications. He is currently supervising PhD research projects at Kingston University London and has been External Examiner to University of London Higher Degrees Committee.

Dr Farid Bazari is our consultant respiratory and internal physician with a wide practice covering all respiratory and internal medical problems.

Dr Bazari’s early career included undergraduate medical training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals. He had specialist respiratory training on the London rotation, including the Royal Brompton Hospital, a world-renowned centre for respiratory disease.

Dr Bazari has been a full-time NHS consultant at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for over 10 years, where he holds a number of leadership roles aimed at improving patient care and developing clinical services. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Bazari is involved in several projects in improving patient experience and developing clinical services. He is the clinical lead for the department of respiratory medicine and the chair of the lung cancer service.

Dr Bazari provides a patient-centred service allowing rapid diagnosis and treatment of respiratory conditions using the latest evidence-based medicine and close working with a team of experts where further investigations are required. ​

Mr Ian Bloom is our Consultant Colorectal Surgeon and has worked at Kingston NHS Hospital Trust for more than 20 years.

He has developed a wide experience of colorectal surgery and is a certified screening colonoscopist, with more than 15,000 procedures successfully performed. He is a specialist in colorectal cancer and lead clinician for Kingston Hospital.

Mr Bloom qualified at the University of Leeds, before undertaking surgical training in Manchester. He was also a Research Fellow at the University of Louisville, United States and Senior Registrar at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.

Dr. John Chinegwundoh is a Consultant Respiratory Physician at Kingston Private Health and has a strong interest in cough, COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease and respiratory infection.

Dr Chinegwundoh was born locally and grew up in South London. He went to Cambridge University, and graduated from Emmanuel College with a First Class Honours Degree in Medicine.

Since becoming a doctor in 1994, he has rotated through various posts in his training and gained a wide body of experience. He worked in a number of prestigious hospitals including the Royal Brompton, Guy’s and St Thomas’, the Hammersmith, Royal Free and University College. He also won a competitive Medical Scholarship and spent three years on an International Fellowship at the world-renowned Columbia University in New York completing his Doctorate degree.

Dr. Chinegwundoh became a Consultant Respiratory Physician in 2004 at Kingston Hospital and he is now the Senior Physician and Clinical Director in Respiratory Medicine.

Mr Michael Davis is a Consultant Gynaecologist and is an accredited colposcopist. He has been a consultant for over 15 years with an interest in gynaecological cancer and pre cancer and minimal access surgery.

Mr Davis qualified from St Bartholomew’s Hospital and completed his junior training, both in surgery and gynaecology, in Southampton and London. Mr Davis spent a year in South Africa in Cape Town as a senior fellow in Gynaecological Cancer.

Mr Davis runs the rapid diagnostic service at Kingston Hospital for irregular bleeding and abnormal scans as well as being involved in busy general gynaecological service.

Dr Nader Elgharably is our Consultant Paediatrician and Neonatologist in the Neonatal Level 2 Unit. He looks after all acute/non-acute medical problems for children as well as all critical pre-term deliveries – where he regularly carries out scans for the heart and brain.

Dr Elgharably can perform Cranial USS for newborn babies up to six months of age also. He also offers neonatal/paediatric oriented echo for murmurs.

Dr Elgharably has a close link with a tertiary cardiology centre in the case where a second opinion or further cardiac physiology tests are needed.

Dr Elgharably has developed a special interest in paediatric cardiology and works as an Honorary Consultant at the Cardiology Department at Royal Brompton Hospital & St Thomas & Guy’s Hospital.

Dr Elgharably received his Master’s Degree in Paediatrics Endocrinology of the Kidney from Cairo University, Egypt and he is also a member of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).

Mr Mostafa Elgohary is a consultant Vitreoretinal Surgeon. He trained as a specialist registrar in Ophthalmology on the North London rotation then as a fellow in Vitreoretinal surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. He also trained in Paediatric Ophthalmology at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada.

Mr Elgohary has expertise in the treatment of retinal disorders, including retinal detachment, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, vitreous haemorrhage as well as complications of eye injuries. He also has expertise in the management of complicated cataract cases, including after eye trauma and those with unstable or displaced lens or lens implants.

Mr Elgohary has a postgraduate MD degree from University College London (UCL) and has published several peer-reviewed publications. His research interest encompasses the outcome of surgical intervention for retinal detachment, macular hole and diabetic complications surgery. He has presented his research at many of the national and international meetings.

Mr Elgohary is an honorary lecturer at the Institute of Ophthalmology and UCL. He is also a senior instructor on several courses in international Ophthalmology conferences, including the European Society of Retina Specialists, European Vitreoretinal Society and European Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Mr Fawcett graduated from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1989. Following his House Officer year he completed a Junior Surgical Trainee rotation in North West Thames, obtaining his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1993.

Mr Fawcett worked at one of the UK’s foremost hospitals for colorectal disease, St Mark’s, initially as an RSO for six months and then for a little over a year as a Locum Consultant also covering the Central Middlesex Hospital, before joining Kingston Hospital in 2002.

Dr Markus Gess is the lead clinician for Gastroentorology and Endoscopy Services at Kingston NHS Trust Hospital. He studied medicine at Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich, Germany, qualifying in 1999. He undertook his postgraduate clinical training in gastroenterology, hepatology and general medicine in London and also worked in academic hepatitis C research for three years.

Dr Gess consolidated his specialist interest in liver disease working at King’s College Liver Unit. Dr Gess provides expertise in all aspects of gastroenterology and liver disease and he is an accomplished endoscopist.

His clinical practice includes gastroenterology and hepatology clinics and he carries out weekly diagnostic and interventional upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy lists. He also offers comprehensive assessments of liver health, including FibroScan.

Mr Gill qualified from St George’s Hospital Medical School and completed his orthopaedic training in the South West Thames region. Dr Goel graduated in 2004 from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical Schools, London. After gaining comprehensive medical experience working in London and the South East, he entered Gastroenterology and General Medicine specialist training in 2008.

Dr Ismail is a Consultant Nephrologist and a Consultant in Internal Medicine. He is the Kidney Disease Lead at Kingston NHS Hospital Trust and has specialist interests in both acute kidney disease and chronic kidney disease.

Dr Ismail’s speciality training was predominantly carried out in South London Teaching Hospitals. After completing his training at King’s College, he joined us as a consultant in 2014.

Aside from his clinical duties Dr Ismail is extensively involved in teaching and improving junior doctor’s services with a commitment to improving the quality of care and patients experience across heath services.

This includes kidney diseases related to infections, haematuria, proteinuria, immunological conditions of all types and cardiovascular disease. Within cardiovascular disease patients, he has a special focus on complex hypertension patients and cardio–renal syndrome patients.

Mr Jarrett is a consultant laparoscopic (keyhole) general and colorectal surgeon with a special interest in hernia and haemorrhoid surgery, as well as faecal incontinence and pelvic floor problems.

Mr Jarrett trained at both Cambridge and Oxford University Medical Schools. He undertook SHO training in Bristol and Bath and then returned to the Oxford rotation for registrar jobs. He undertook research at St. Mark’s Hospital, London which studied the use of innovative techniques to manage faecal incontinence and especially Sacral Nerve Stimulation upon which he published widely and helped to write the NICE guidelines. He was awarded an MD at Oxford for this work and also the Arris and Gale Lectureship by the Royal College of Surgeons.

Dr Roy Jogiya is our Consultant Cardiologist and is trained in all aspects of general cardiology with a specialist interest in heart rhythm disorders and imaging. Dr Jogiya grew up locally and studied at Tiffin School for Boys in Kingston. He went to Imperial College and graduated with Honours in Cardiovascular Science (BSc) and Medicine (MBBS).

Dr Jogiya has undertaken extensive training and attended a number of prestigious cardiac centres – including the Royal Brompton, Yale New Haven Hospital, Imperial NHS Trust and St Georges Hospital (during which he gained a PgDip in Medical Law and Ethics).

He received a prestigious British Heart Foundation Fellowship and undertook his PhD in Cardiac MRI at Kings College London. He has successfully published a number of important papers and presented his works internationally.

Mr Kalu is one of our Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologists, specialising in reproductive gynaecology and minimal access surgery.

Mr Kalu is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He has an active interest in Medical Education, is an Examiner at St Georges University of London School of Medicine and was the Postgraduate College Tutor for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in Kingston.

He has undertaken further sub-specialty training in reproductive gynaecology (IVF) and minimal access surgery at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital London and The Lister Fertility clinic Chelsea. He was accredited sub-specialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery in 2008.

He is the HFEA Licence Holder in the Assisted Conception Unit at Kingston Hospital where he is a senior IVF clinician. Mr Jayesh Khistria MSc. BMedSci (Hons), is a Consultant Orthoptist, and graduated from the University of Sheffield. He holds a master’s in clinical ophthalmology, from University College London and started his early orthoptic career at the Oxford Eye Hospital before joining Moorfields, working alongside some of the UK’s top squint surgeons.

Mr Khistria is the first orthoptist in the country to be working in an advanced neuro-ophthalmology role and an honorary lecturer at UCL for new undergraduate orthoptists.
He specialises in both adult and paediatric treatment of amblyopia (lazy eye), double vision and squints (strabismus) and has a special interest in neuro-ophthalmology, stroke, and orbital fracture patients.

Mr Michael Lee is an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgeon with a sub-speciality interest in voice and swallowing disorders.
Mr Lee graduated in Medicine from the University of Dundee and carried out his higher surgical training in ENT Head and Neck Surgery in the East of Scotland training scheme. He then conducted his fellowship training in Head an Neck Surgical Oncology in Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham.

Mr Wisam Muen is a Consultant Ophthalmologist specialising in cataract and lens surgery. Mr Muen qualified from Manchester University in 1997 and completed an extensive training scheme in General Surgical training before further specialising in Ophthalmology. He continued his career across hospitals in Liverpool, Scotland, Cambridge and London and completed advanced training in the diagnosis and medical management of corneal eye diseases and laser eye surgery.

He is one of the very few surgeons in the UK to hold this dual accreditation after completing specialist training in children’s eye diseases, which can be some of the most complex in the field of Ophthalmology and Laser Eye Surgery.

Mr Muen has received awards of excellence within the NHS and a British Medical Association award for the Best Medical Research Project and the Manchester University Best Neuroscience Research Project.

He is the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Tutor for the Royal Eye Unit and is responsible for the training of junior eye doctors.

Dr Tapesh Pakrashi is a Consultant Cardiologist and Heart Failure Specialist and is currently Clinical Lead for Cardiology at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He has an interest in all aspects of adult general cardiology, including heart failure, valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, cardiac imaging, arrhythmias and hypertension.

Dr Pakrashi read Medicine at Magdalen College, Oxford and trained in Newcastle, Leeds and Cambridge before undertaking his Specialist Registrar Training in Cardiology in London; this included the Pan Thames Heart Failure Rotation at the Royal Brompton Hospital, Harefield Hospital and the Whittington Hospital.

Dr Pakrashi started his consultant career at Kingston Hospital in 2012 and was a visiting consultant cardiologist at St George’s Hospital between 2012 and 2015. He was Clinical Director for Cardiology and Clinical Haematology at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust from 2013 to 2018 and has been Undergraduate Sub-Dean since 2017. Mr Mohsin Patel qualified from the University of London and subsequently undertook run-through training in ophthalmology in London, which included training in centres such as Kings College London and Moorfields Eye Hospital.

Mr Patel manages all aspects of glaucoma disorders and has a further interest in cataracts and minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery. He is experienced in glaucoma laser procedures including selective laser trabeculoplasty, YAG laser peripheral iridotomy and MicroPulse transscleral cyclodiode.

He offers premium lenses for those suitable and is happy to explore each patient’s individual needs to maximise their outcome.

Mr Parag Patel is one of our Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Consultants. He began his medical career in London, qualifying from Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospitals Medical and Dental Schools. He then undertook basic and higher surgical training in King’s College Hospital, Guy’s Hospital and St George’s hospital.
After finishing his training, Mr Patel went overseas to Brisbane to work under the guidance of Professor Bill Coman and Assoc/Prof Ben Panizza to perform Head and Neck Skull base surgery. Whilst in Australia, he volunteered for the Deadly Ears Foundation, travelling to rural areas performing operations for children living in deprived Aboriginal communities. Mr Patel returned to the UK for a further skull base and cochlear implant fellowship and locum consultant position in Addenbrooke’s Hospital Medical School, Cambridge.
Mr Patel treats a wide range of children’s ENT problems including glue ear, hearing loss, mastoid surgery, tonsillitis, nasal obstruction and obstructive sleep disorders. He is the paediatric and otology lead surgeon at Kingston Hospital.
Mr Patel enjoys participating in long range rifle shooting and was selected to represent England in the 2006 Melbourne, 2010 Delhi, 2014 Glasgow and 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. During these competitions, he won four Gold, a Silver and three Bronze Medals.

Originally from Cornwall, Mr Pooley studied medicine at St George’s Hospital, London, graduating in 1987. Much of his junior medical training took place in South West London, but also further afield, with Professor Lord Winston at Hammersmith Hospital, and a year in Dublin.

From 1995 to 1997 he was the Training Fellow in Minimal Access Surgery (keyhole surgery) with Professor Sutton in Guildford, in what was then one of only four training centres in the UK. He gained extensive experience in all aspects of keyhole surgery in gynaecology, with a special focus on published research on treatments for endometriosis, management of ectopic pregnancy and ablation of the endometrium for heavy periods.

In 1999 Mr Pooley was appointed to Kingston Hospital as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, with responsibility for establishing and promoting Minimal Access Surgery. He introduced laparoscopic laser surgery for endometriosis and novasure endometrial ablation to Kingston Hospital, along with other innovations. He is the only local gynaecologist accredited as a trainer in laparoscopic surgery by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Alongside his keyhole surgery interest, Mr Pooley has extensive experience in, and a modern approach to all aspects of general gynaecology, including prolapse, hormonal conditions, and the treatment of abnormal smear problems in colposcopy.

Dr Claire Scott is a Consultant Community Paediatrician who provides advice, assessment and diagnosis for children with developmental and behavioural difficulties. These include speech and language delay, learning difficulties, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and social communication disorders (including the diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome and Autism).

Dr Scott also helps diagnose Developmental Co-ordination Disorder in conjunction with an occupational therapy assessment and other difficulties such as Sensory Processing Disorders. Many of her assessments are undertaken in conjunction with other professionals including speech therapists, occupational therapists, clinical psychologists, and Educational Psychologists and I greatly value reports from other professionals such as schools.

She endeavours to provide guidance to ensure a child receives appropriate support to achieve their potential as well as maintaining their emotional well-being, including advice on how to request effective educational provision and encourage effective multi – agency collaboration.

Dr Scott is qualified to perform Griffiths Developmental assessments and Diagnostic Interviews for Social Communication Disorders (DISCO), and ADOS assessments (Autistic Diagnostic Observation Schedule).

Professional background
Mr Mark Soldin is a Consultant in Cosmetic Surgery. After qualifying as a Plastic Surgeon in South Africa in 1998, he fine tuned his reconstructive and cosmetic surgical skills working in a number of units in the United Kingdom.

He passed his British Plastic Surgery examinations in 2002 and was awarded the CCST. He has been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon since 2004 and believes that his clinical and academic background give him a profound expertise and understanding of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. Mr Soldin works in close collaboration with many colleagues and has published numerous articles in professional journals.

Mr Soldin is actively involved in teaching and research. Plastic Surgery is often concerned with the restoration of normal appearance and function, while Cosmetic Surgery aims to enhance beauty. His dedication to his profession combined with his artistic interests allow him to offer individualised surgical care of the highest standard to all his patients.

Miss Vasuki Sivagnanavel is one of our Consultant Ophthalmologists. Having trained at leading Teaching Hospitals including Kings College Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital, she was awarded a Doctorate in Medicine (MD) for her research into Age Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and retinal imaging.

Miss Sivagnanavel has a specialist interest in medical retina and inflammatory eye diseases as well as general ophthalmology. She serves as the Lead Retina Specialist at Kingston Hospital Foundation Trust and manages one of the largest AMD services in the country.

Mr Hooman Sherafat is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Kingston Private Health and is the Lead Clinician of the Royal Eye unit at Kingston Hospital.

He qualified from St. George’s Hospital Medical School, London, in 1992 and subsequently undertook higher specialist training in ophthalmology in London, which included training in centres such as Guys and St. Thomas’ Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital.

His close collaboration and work with local organisations supporting the visually impaired was recognised by RNIB and members of the House of Lords, where he was invited to the House of Lords in 2016 for recognition of services to the visually impaired.

Mr Sarb Sandhu is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Kingston Private Health. He has a special interest in general urology (prostate, bladder, vasectomy, circumcision and kidney stone), laparoscopic surgery, uro-oncology and laser surgery for the prostate. He is also trained to carry out the UroLift® procedure* – identified as an outstanding practice in a recent CQC report.

Mr Sandhu trained at the Royal Free Hospital in London, and gained his higher surgical training in the North Thames Region and the Royal Marsden Hospital. Mr Sandhu obtained his MD degree on research into Prostate Cancer. He has undertaken periods of elective training, in Boston, Egypt, and Belgium.

Mr Sandhu has recently been appointed Chief of Surgery and Planned Care at Kingston Hospital. Previously he was the Lead Clinician for both Cancer Services and Urology at Kingston Hospital, and also responsible for Undergraduate Surgical Training.

Mr Siddiqui is one of our Orthopaedic Consultants and specialises in shoulder problems, including sports injuries. He qualified from St Bartholomew’s Medical School in 1999. He stayed in the London region for general surgical training then proceeded to specialist orthopaedic training and worked at several hospitals – including the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore; Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead; and the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel. He is clinical lead for the Kingston Bone Health project, promoting osteoporosis treatment and prevention.

Mr Siddiqui developed further sub-specialty skills and experience in all aspects of upper limb surgery during three specialist fellowships; one year at the world-renowned Brisbane Hand and Upper Limb Unit in Australia and a further year at two leading upper limb specialty units in the UK – Avon Orthopaedic Centre in Bristol and University Hospital Coventry.

He was also awarded the prestigious Watanabe Travelling Fellowship, visiting several centres of surgical excellence around the UK specialising in shoulder and elbow surgery.

Mr Siddiqui works as an NHS consultant in Trauma & Orthopaedics at Kingston Hospital. He specialises in shoulder, elbow and hand & wrist surgery and undertakes joint replacement surgery of the shoulder, elbow, and fingers.

Miss Rashmi Singh BSc MBBS FRCS Urol MD is one of a very small number of consultant female urological surgeons in the country, thus offering a unique opportunity for patients to consult a lady doctor for any urinary problem.

Miss Singh trained at Guys and St Thomas’ Medical School and undertook diverse urological training in the South Thames region. She has an MD in prostate cancer genetics and developed a sub-specialist expertise in kidney stone and upper tract disease.

In addition to her general urology practice and experience with female urinary problems, Miss Singh offers laser and keyhole surgery for kidney stones and assessment and treatment of prostate disease.

Miss Singh is also involved with the educational supervision and clinical training of junior doctors and is the Clinical Audit and Governance Lead for the Urology department at Kingston Hospital. She holds NHS Clinical Excellence Awards.
