I qualified as Dispensing Optician in 1999 and have held a variety of roles over the years. My passion is training colleagues to be the best they can be so that all of our patients receive the best possible care. I joined Leightons in 2022 and I love being able to provide a great range of quality and stylish eyewear as well as having access to a huge lens portfolio to meet every possible requirement. Audiology isn't new to me and it's great that we can provide both Hearcare and Optical services in the store. Outside of work I potter around an allotment and play the guitar.

DINO MUSTAJBASIC (BSC RHAD)

Dino Mustajbasic is a member of the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists. He qualified as an audiologist from the University of Bristol and built up his experience in the NHS. But why did he switch from the NHS to an independent practice? “Working at Leightons means I am able to recommend the very best hearing devices for my customers and spend as much time as anyone requires.” When it comes to your hearing, you couldn’t be in better hands than with Dino Mustajbasic. I have been working as an Optometrist since 1999 and Joined Leightons Addlestone in 2009. We have had the OCT retinal camera since 2015 and we now have an amazing ultrawide Optomap field camera. I love using this equipment as it helps me to deliver the best eye care for my patients. I enjoy all aspects of my work but most of all I love being able to take my time to consider the individual needs of every patient in my care. When not working I am busy with my daughter and love getting outdoors as much as possible.

Before joining the Leightons family, Lizzie has had a diverse career in healthcare as a registered nurse and Clinical Research Associate in pharmaceuticals. Lizzie loves life at Leightons because… She gets to learn something new every day and is especially interested in finding out more about optometry and hearing aids. Outside of work, Lizzie enjoys… Gardening, travelling and yoga. She would also love to learn to play bridge.

Carrie joins us at Leightons as a qualified Wax Removal Clinician Carrie loves life at Leightons because… “I’ve always loved working in a clinical environment and I am really excited to continue learning about all things ears and the challenges this job brings. In my role, I always look forward to being able to bring relief to people who have perhaps struggled for a while with their hearing or discomfort.” Outside of work Carrie enjoys… Painting and is a keen artist in her spare time, working mostly with acrylics but recently trying enamels for traditional sign painting. Carrie also loves am-dram, reading and anything crafty.
