LYNDA SKELDON

Lynda has almost 40 years of Optics experience in the UK and abroad, both as a dispensing optician and in management and training. She enjoys sharing her knowledge with her patients, team and colleagues at Leightons, who she has been with since 2012. Lynda enjoys spending time with family, walking her two rescue dogs, dog agility and gardening.

Hearing Aid Audiologist

STUART ROBERTS (RHAD MSHAA)

Stuart is a member of British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists. He qualified as an HAC Hearing-Aid Audiologist in December 2002 and helped roll out the Private Public Partnerships scheme in Guildford. Ask Stuart how he started life as a hearing care professional, and he’ll tell you it followed a short stint of voluntary work, when he was studying stage 2 of the British Sign Language Course. Born to care, he feels the company’s scope and customer care based attitude tie in with his core beliefs. Stuart specialises in counselling, adult hearing rehabilitation and aftercare. “At Leightons I have the time to deliver the service and individual care that I know is most valued by people who are struggling with hearing loss. The hearing aids that we have available to us at Leightons really are state-of-the-art and that gives me added confidence that I can provide real benefits and look after our customers for many years to come”.

"I have been working at Leightons since 2001, and now work part-time to look after my three children as well. I love working for a family company who invest in the best equipment, products and expertise so they can provide all their customers with exceptional service. Outside work, I love dancing, fitness classes and photography, but most of all I love spending time with my family."

I graduated from Cardiff University in 2015 and have been practicing optometry in the local area since then. I joined Leightons in 2020; I am delighted to provide my patients with the best advice and eyecare solution for them. Outside work, I enjoy horse riding, singing and playing computer games.

KATIE BEDFORD

We welcomed Katie to the Leightons Haslemere family in August 2017. She is a local girl and has experience in healthcare, so she’s enjoying learning all about Optics and hearing care in Haslemere. In her spare time Katie enjoys cooking and baking, and her favourite chef is Tom Kerridge.

JAKE TOOMEY

Jake has previously worked at a high street optical and hearing care provider but chose to move to Leightons because he wanted to provide more bespoke service and high quality care to the customers he was helping. He loves having the opportunity to do this as part of the Leightons team, and enjoys being able to learn and progress his skills. Outside work, Jake plays seven different instruments, paints and skateboards – but not all at the same time.
