KEVIN FORBES

Kevin has enjoyed working within the optical industry for many years, across numerous practices, where he has built up a wealth of industry knowledge. Qualifying as a dispensing optician in 2012, and previously working for Leightons in 2014, Kevin is thrilled to join us once again as our new Practice Manager in Reading. Kevin looks forward to delivering exceptional customer service to all of their patients. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys following Formula One, and also has a keen interest in Astronomy.

Aruba joined the Leightons family as Reading's resident Optometrist after developing her skills within a busy high street practice. Aruba takes great care in providing her patients with top quality service and ensuring everyone receives the extra care they may need.

KASHISH KUMAR

Kash joined Leightons to aid his further development and passion for optometry, whilst desiring to deliver the best service to his patients. He is an active athlete and enjoys listening to music, as well as having a keen interest in the motorcar industry.

ANA FERNANDEZ

Ana joins us as a highly-skilled optometrist with many years of experience within the field. Not only does she hold a degree and Masters in Optometry, but she is currently pursuing a further qualification to become a Retina Specialist as well. Ana loves life at Leightons because… She is able to work within a business that has such a fantastic reputation for clinical care and service. Outside of work, Ana enjoys… Travelling, reading and research.

Indi joined Leightons in 2001. As a dedicated contact lens optician, Indi loves being able to take the time to find the best and most comfortable lenses for an individual. In her spare time, Indi enjoys being with family, reading, watching The Great British Bake Off and cooking.

PRIYA BURGUL

Priya has over twenty years of experience in the optical industry. After completing an undergraduate degree in Optical Management, she began her career at Vision Express where she gained her ABDO qualification and spent seven years working at branches in Cambridge and Nottingham. Priya then spent the next seven years working at two busy London independent opticians in Westminster and Kensington. She joined Leightons in July 2015 and brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise gained from her time spent in both the multiple and independent sectors. Her special interests are in bespoke Progressive and Single Vision lenses as well as Sports Vision. She prides herself in taking the time to find exactly the right ophthalmic products for a given lifestyle. In her spare time, Priya enjoys spending time with her family, visiting places of historical importance and taking long walks in the countryside.

MARTYN HATHERLEY

Martyn qualified as a Dispensing Optician in 2021. Following this, he joined an independent optical practice where he built a wide range of knowledge and skills before deciding to join the Leightons family. “I decided to join Leightons because of the fantastic career progression opportunities and internal training they offer. I aspire one day to become a Practice Manager! Within my role, I love having the freedom to spend time with my patients and help them find the perfect option to meet their needs." Outside of work, Martyn is a bit of a foodie and has a passion for cooking and trying out new restaurants. He also loves to spend time with his family and friends, play guitar, and watch the F1.

Emily joined the team at Leightons Reading after working in a busy high street optician. She has a strong interest in eyewear fashion and is always on hand to help all of our Reading customers choose their next pair of glasses.

After working in a pharmacy for a good stint, Candice joins the team at Leightons Reading ready to step into the optical industry with great enthusiasm. Candice is eager to develop her optical knowledge and looks forward to her building her career with Leightons.
