Professor Kefah Mokbel

Professor Kefah Mokbel is an internationally acclaimed surgeon and researcher in breast cancer. He is based at the London Breast Institute, where he is the Lead Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon. He specialises in the multidisciplinary care of patients with breast cancer, with expertise in all aspects of the disease, including early detection of breast cancer, rapid assessment of breast lumps, prevention of breast cancer, genetic predisposition, breast MRI, risk-reducing surgery for BRCA1, BRCA2 and PALB2 gene mutation carriers, minimally-invasive breast surgery, ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS), skin-sparing and nipple-sparing mastectomy, nipple discharge, sentinel node biopsy, wireless breast localisation, oncoplastic breast surgery, breast lipofilling/fat grafting, as well as the management of benign conditions including breast cysts, breast pain and fibroadenomas. In addition, he is proficient in reconstructive and aesthetic/cosmetic breast surgery.

Mr Neill Patani

Mr Neill Patani is a Consultant Oncoplastic & Reconstructive Breast Surgeon at University College London Hospital, Honorary Associate Professor at the UCL Cancer Institute and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Francis Crick Institute. Neill also runs private clinics at HCA Healthcare UK's, The Princess Grace Hospital in London. He has expertise in the management of breast cancer and all aspects of benign disease, including breast pain, lumps, infection and risk-reduction strategies for patients with a family history. Neill has an interest in laboratory, translational and clinical breast cancer research. He works collaboratively with scientists, oncologists and radiologists, exploring how breast cancer metabolism can be targeted for functional imaging and novel therapies. He is currently involved in clinical trials studying the optimal sequencing of breast cancer treatments and the de-escalation of surgery to the breast and axilla according to treatment response. He also has an interest in quality improvement initiatives and is an Honorary Clinical Fellow for the national Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) programme, with a role in evaluating and learning from litigation in breast surgery.

Ms Jajini Varghese

Ms Jajini Susan Varghese has undertaken dual training in Plastic Surgery and in Breast Oncology Surgery. She completed her surgical training on the Pan-Thames rotation in some of the busiest and largest hospitals in London, including St Barts Hospital, Royal Free Hospital & Guys and St Thomas Hospital. Prior to her surgical training, she completed her PhD in the Genetics of Breast cancer at the University of Cambridge on full scholarships. She is based at the London Breast Institute and Princess Grace Hospital. She is also attached to University College London as an Honourary Clinical Lecturer. Jajini is passionate about applying the latest plastic surgical techniques to improve cosmetic outcomes after cancer is removed. This is usually done at the same time as the cancer operation. She is also able to discuss the risk of getting breast cancer in the future through genetic testing and offer personalised preventative and early detection strategies. As a female, she finds her job extremely fulfilling and her patient-centered approach to clinical practice means that she discusses all options available, and tailor makes the surgery for the patient.

Mrs Rosalyn (Katy) Hogben is a Consultant Breast Surgeon Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Lead Surgeon of the West of London Breast Screening Unit. She also provides private care at The Harley Street Clinic Diagnosis Centre and The Princess Grace Hospital. She specialises in breast cancer, breast reconstruction and benign breast disease. As well as treatments for mastitis, breast lumps and nipple discharge. She also has extensive experience in women's health and offers a full range of services. This includes a ‘Well-Women' Screening Service, with a breast and pelvic examination.

Miss Christina Choy

Dr. Christina Choy is a Breast Specialist Consultant Surgeon currently working at the private practices at Princess Grace Hospital,The Harley Street Diagnostic Centre, the Lister Hospital and the Chiswick Medical Centre. She is a very experienced Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon specializing in Breast Surgery and Breast Reconstruction. Her areas of interest include breast conservation surgery with oncoplastic technique, mastectomy with skin and nipple-sparing with reconstruction, fat transfer, sentinel node biopsy with dual localization, wire-guided, and the new wireless localization procedure, breast reduction, augmentation, and uplift. Miss Choy is very experienced in offering breast screening and assessment procedures for breast pain, nipple discharge, mastitis, and lumps. She also offers family history clinic, other breast cancer risk assessments, and genetic testing. Dr. Choy graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degrees from the University of Sydney in 1986. Choy undertook her postgraduate speciality training across well-known countries such as Australia and Hong Kong. Dr. Choy also worked as a fellow in the UK in St Bartholomew’s Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospital before taking on consultant post as a locum at St Bartholomew's, King's College and Newham General Hospital. She worked as a substantive consultant Oncoplastic breast surgeon at Homerton University Hospital for over 14 years. Dr. Choy worked in a multi-disciplinary team in the London Breast Institute for over 10 years with breast care nurses, pathologists, oncologists, and radiologists.
