BSc(Hons) MBChB MRCGP Offers appointments in Manchester (Altrincham) – Diagnostic Healthcare In 2010 Holly qualified from The University of Manchester after completing her medical degree and an intercalated degree in Pathology. She then moved to Kent to complete her foundation training before moving back home to Manchester to complete her GP training. Having worked in various roles locally as a salaried and locum doctor, Holly has treated patients from diverse backgrounds and cultures. She was an earlier adopter of digital medicine and the benefits remote consulting can bring to her patients. However, it was her role as a menopause champion that truly opened her eyes to the profound impact of menopause and women’s health issues on women’s lives. Recognising the significance of this transitional phase, she is now devoted to practicing menopause medicine with the utmost attention it deserves. Holly’s broad perspective as a generalist allows her to approach menopause with a deep understanding of its impact on multiple body systems whilst her background in Pathology helps her to breakdown a problem into its simple science before building up a solution tailored to that particular patient. Through her practice, she aims to initiate conversations about menopause, bridging the knowledge gap among women and healthcare professionals alike. By empowering women and raising awareness, she envisions a future where her two little girls grow up in a world where menopause is understood and women’s health is prioritised. Dr Naomi Jiagbogu

BSc(Hons) Mres MBChB MRCGP Offers video appointments Naomi is a practicing GP working in Greater Manchester. She graduated from the University of Manchester with a 1st class Honours degree in Biomedical Science and a Masters in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine in 2010. She then graduated from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 2014 and trained as a GP in both Birmingham and Manchester. Naomi has been inspired to work within the menopause field after she met Dr Louise Newson who was one of her tutors at medical school. As a scientist by background she’s always interested in the way things work and is always seeking the best evidence based knowledge to provide the best care for her patients. She has completed the Principals and Practice of Menopause Care course by the British Menopause Society and also the Confidence in Menopause course. Naomi also has an interest in dermatology, particularly how it’s related to women’s health and the menopause. Outside of work Naomi enjoys going for hikes, wild water swimming and kayaking in the Lake District all with her young son and dog. GMC number 7457621

Dr Lucy Mather

BMedSci MBChB DTMH MRCPCh DFFP MRCG Offers appointments in Manchester (Altrincham) – Diagnostic Healthcare Lucy qualified from University of Birmingham in 1999 with BMedSci and MBChB. Her initial career was in Paediatrics obtaining her Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (DTMH) and MRCPCh, training in the North West England and Melbourne, Australia. Lucy then retrained in General Practice (2006) in Cheshire, obtaining her MRCPCh with distinction and DFPP. Since 2006, Lucy has worked as a GP in the Manchester and Cheshire area. She has always enjoyed teaching and works as a Clinical Tutor at Manchester Medical School and University of Buckinghamshire. In addition to this, Lucy is a GP Appraiser and has a qualification in coaching. Lucy enjoys practising holistic healthcare and has a special interest in Women’s Health, Child Health, and Domestic Abuse. Lucy works for IRIS Manchester delivering training to General Practice on the issues of DVA to promote and improve the healthcare response to domestic violence and abuse (DVA). Through her work as a GP, and own personal experience, Lucy is acutely aware the impact the peri-menopause and menopause can have on a woman’s life, and the lives of children and family. Her aim is to support women, with advice, education and evidence based prescribing, empowering them to make positive life choices through the peri-menopause and menopause. Lucy is also passionate about challenging negative stories that persist about HRT among the general public and health professionals. Lucy is delighted to be joining the team at Newson Health to continue this work. Outside of work Lucy and her husband can be found taxiing their two teenage children. When time allows Lucy enjoys renovating, gardening, swimming, generally being “outdoors” and on the water and recently has become a Reformer Pilates convert! Dr Janet Richardson

MBChB MRCGP DRCOG DFFP FSRH Offers appointments in Manchester (Altrincham) – Diagnostic Healthcare Janet graduated from The University of Liverpool in 1999 and has always had a passion for women’s health. Following initial training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and success in part 1 MRCOG she went on to pursue a career in general practice. She completed her GP training in 2005, passing MRCGP with merit. Since then she has combined her work in general practice with the provision of palliative care at her local hospice. Her interest in women’s health has continued throughout her career and she has gained the qualifications of DRCOG, DSRH and FRSH certificate in menopause care. She enjoys providing a holistic approach to ladies impacted by symptoms of the menopause and feels privileged and rewarded when witnessing the improvements in her patients’ lives, having guided them with individualised and evidenced based care. She is passionate about supporting ladies to continue to enjoy their lives and careers to the full. She lives with her husband and 2 children in West Yorkshire where she grew up and enjoys karate, running, skiing and chocolate! Dr Maqsuda Zaman

MB ChB JCPTGP Offers appointments in Manchester (Altrincham) – Diagnostic Healthcare Maqsuda graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1992 and completed her GP training in Manchester. She currently works as a part-time GP in Oldham and for the South Manchester GP Federation and has always had a strong interest in women’s health, advocating a holistic approach to all physical and psychological issues. Her passion for the menopause developed after discovering the benefits of body-identical HRT in 2016 and she has since pro-actively sought to identify and manage women with peri-menopausal and menopausal symptoms, many of whom have been misinformed, misdiagnosed or denied HRT in the past. She has completed the Fourteen Fish Confidence in The Menopause Course, is an associate of the Newson Health Menopause Society, a member of the International Menopause Society and the Primary Care Women’s Health Forum. She is married with five children and two cats and enjoys reading, walking in her local National Trust parks, and spending time with family and friends.
