After a long career in professional football with clubs including Gillingham, Fulham, Brentford and Brighton I retrained and became a physiotherapist where I continued in elite sport with Brighton & Hove Albion and most recently with Sheffield United FC, being part of the back room team that got promoted to the Premier League in 2018/19.

I qualified as a registered osteopath in 1992 and I spent the next few years in practice, working in Sussex and then in Napier, New Zealand. On returning to the UK, I studied for a masters degree in Public Health and I then worked in a variety of health and wellbeing roles. My main areas of interest include; weight management, physical activity and lifestyle behaviour change. I find it very rewarding to help people make positive changes towards a healthier lifestyle, which can be challenging for anyone to do! I subsequently decided I would like to return to hands-on therapy and so I studied for a combined level 3 & 4 sports massage qualification, to learn new skills. My aim is to help people with a holistic approach, combining massage therapy with my health and wellbeing knowledge and experience.

I started my career working in private practices in Belgium and I moved to the UK following the completion of a MSc in Manual Therapy. I joined the outpatients department at a private hospital in Brentwood where I treated patients for postoperative rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and musculoskeletal conditions. Two years later, I moved to Sussex where I worked at the Newick Physio Clinic for 6 years and the Spire Hospital in Tunbridge Wells for more than 20 years. I have a special interest in Foot & Ankle conditions since I started to work alongside a Foot & Ankle surgeon. I became the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist of the Foot and Ankle Centre in 2014 in Tunbridge Wells and my duties included developing postoperative protocols and seeing patients for conservative treatment and postoperative rehabilitation.

After a fantastic ten years as a professional dancer and musical theatre performer, I moved into Ballet Healthcare, working as healthcare coordinator for the Royal Ballet Company in Covent Garden. Seeing the amazing care given to the dancers inspired me to train as a Pilates Instructor and Personal Trainer myself, and since then I have taught Pilates and trained clients in numerous settings across Hertfordshire, London and Sussex. I also teach dance and theatre in schools and colleges, and am currently studying for a Masters Degree.

I previously completed a degree in Geography at Exeter University before switching career paths. I then completed my physiotherapy degree at Brunel University London. My physio career started with Virgin Healthcare, where I specialised in Complex Elderly Care and Elderly Community Rehabilitation. Following this I moved on to become a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with The Royal Marsden Trust. Outside of working hours, I have spent time with Reigate Priory Hockey Club as a pitch side physiotherapist. I also previously worked as a personal trainer in Dorking Sports Centre focusing on strength and conditioning.

After attending Drama School in both London and Paris, I worked in the Theatre, as an Actor/Director. My Training was extremely Physical and included Mime, Movement and Acrobatics. I then moved on to become a Drama-therapist,working in the Mental Health Sector. After this I returned to my physical roots and re-trained so that I could teach Anatomy and Physiology, Circuits, Aerobics and Personal Training. I did so in Adult Education and privately, from a London base.I also trained and worked as an Assessor on Personal Training courses. When my family and I moved out of London to Sussex, I began developing my own Personal Training practice. I now teach Personal Training and Pilates freelance as well as from my own studio. I enjoy working with a diverse group of clients and patients. My particular pleasure comes from enabling people to address areas of physical difficulty so that they can achieve their personal goals and enjoy having a healthy responsive body.

After graduating from dance college with an honours degree in Dance and Theatre Performance I worked abroad as a professional dancer and dance captain for ten years. During my performing years I remained injury free which I attribute to my regular Pilates practice! On returning back to the UK I decided to train as a Pilates teacher with the Body Control Pilates Association in London, and have been running my own matwork classes in East Sussex since 2013.
