Sk:n Clapham

Mr Simon Filson is the MD of the Clapham sk:n Clinic and also regularly works at the Monck Street clinic. Within sk:n, he specialises in all operations such as cyst, lipomas and cosmetic mole removal. Mr Filson graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Newcastle Upon Tyne University with merit. He then trained as a plastic surgeon in the North East of England until 2011, when he moved to the world-famous trauma centre, Rambam, in Haifa, Israel. The majority of the workload involved the reconstruction of complex war injuries and burns from Syria, Israel and the Palestinian territories. Due to his surgical work, patient care, and junior doctor training, in 2014, he was recognised with the prestigious excellence award, “Oved Mitztayen”. He has plastic surgery fellowships in pediatric plastic surgery, at the Sick Kids Hospital, Toronto, and microsurgical reconstruction at Guys and St Thomas Hospitals. Mr Filson is currently a consultant plastic surgeon at the Evelina London (St Thomas’) and his interests in his NHS practice include all forms of paediatric plastic surgery and trauma reconstruction.

Leila Kattach is an Independent Nurse Prescriber / Injector based at our Clapham clinic. Leila has a huge amount of knowledge in the field of dermatology and injectables, with over 13 years’ experience. Leila qualified as a nurse in 2006 with a BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing. Her background is in orthopaedic trauma and elective surgery, day surgery, vascular, urology, ear, nose and throat, maxillofacial, gynaecology and plastic surgery. As well as working with clients at sk:n to achieve skin health, she also works for the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust as a Dermatology Nurse Specialist specialising in inflammatory skin conditions. Leila prides herself in providing high quality and evidence-based client-centred care.

Dr Rajpara has training in general medicine and dermatosurgery (including Mohs surgery and Lasers) in England and in dermatology in Scotland. He offers consultation on all dermatological problems, skin cancers, mole checks, hyperhidrosis and cosmetic dermatology. Actively involved in clinical research and teaching, Dr Rajpara has given over 25 national and international presentations and has published a number of peer reviewed articles. He also holds an honorary consultant dermatologist post at Ninewells Hospital to perform Mohs surgery for skin cancers.
