Paul Lee is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon and double visiting professor of Sports Medicine, the University of Lincoln as well as Medical Engineering, the University of Chester. He has a PhD in medical engineering, MSc in Sports Medicine, and many surgical fellowships in regenerative medicine. Professor Paul Lee is a medical doctor as well as an engineer. Appling engineering principles to human biology and regeneration physiology, he has taken musculoskeletal medicine to the next level. Professor Paul Lee is accredited by the ICRS as a teaching centre of excellence for cartilage and joint preservation surgery and as a recognised expert in the field of regenerative medicine. He is also a member of the International Society of Cell and Gene Therapy. He has published his findings on the treatment of muscle injuries in elite athletes and UK Premiership footballers in several peer-reviewed medical journals. As a result, the time it takes for these athletes to recover and return to play has decreased significantly. Prof Lee is an acclaimed international expert in minimally invasive surgery, meniscus surgery, mFat surgery, PRP surgery, ACL surgery, Golden Steps Knee replacement surgery, SPAIRE hip, BIKINI hip replacement surgery, and STACI cartilage surgery. He regularly performs minimally invasive surgery and cell-based injections to treat arthritis and sports injuries in the Regenerative Clinic and London Cartilage Clinic. As part of the Gilmore's Groin team at the London Sports Injury Clinic on 108 Harley Street, Professor Lee works with Simon Marsh and Gerry Gilmore. Together, they have linked Oestititis Pubis, Gilmore's groin and adductor pathology to the A.S.I.A. syndrome, as well as successful treatment plans. Mr Ashok Marudanayagam is an esteemed Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special focus on Foot and Ankle Surgery. His medical journey began at JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Medical Education and Research) in Pondicherry, India, where he obtained his MBBS in 1996. Following this, he earned his Diploma in Orthopaedics in 1998 and furthered his qualifications with a DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in Orthopaedics in 2000. Mr Marudanayagam then went on to secure his FRCS (Glasg) in 2003 and his FRCS in Trauma & Orthopaedics in 2010. After extensive training and fellowships, he was appointed as a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Grantham & District Hospital in 2014, where he has specialised in Foot & Ankle surgery. His expertise has been specifically prominent in the management of bunion surgery and sports-related ankle injuries. Having nearly a decade of consultancy experience, Mr Marudanayagam has worked both within the NHS and in private settings, such as Circle group and Ramsay group hospitals. He is known for his high volume of ankle sports injury surgeries, treating a wide variety of conditions that include Achilles tendon, ankle ligament, and cartilage injuries. Notably, his work in cartilage regenerative surgeries has led to excellent outcomes, particularly in high-level athletes. As a leading authority in sports and regenerative surgery, Mr Marudanayagam has a particular interest in advanced surgical techniques such as AMIC, scaffold, and OAT’s regeneration procedures for the ankle. His interest goes beyond the operating theatre; he frequently shares his insights through lectures, conferences, and medical publications. Today, he stands as a beacon of innovation and clinical excellence in the orthopaedic community.
