Chief Executive Officer

Seb Hobbs

Seb joined Well in July 2019, he has overall responsibility for setting the strategic direction and the daily operation of the business on behalf of Well’s owners, the Bestway Group. Prior to Well, Seb worked for the world’s largest diamond jewellery retailer, Signet Jewelers, leading their UK operation before being promoted to President & Chief Customer Officer and relocating to the USA. In this role Seb led all customer facing activities across 7 brands in 4 countries, including store operations, product development, marketing, digital, diamond sourcing, repair and supply chain. Prior to Signet, Seb was a senior executive at leading outdoor goods retailer, Blacks Leisure Group and spent most of his early career with apparel retail conglomerate Storehouse. While in the US, Seb was an active Board member of 2 charities, Jewelers for Children and Diamond Empowerment Fund, serving on their respective Executive Committees.

Chief Retail Officer

Andrew Caplan

Andrew joined Well in July 2023 as Chief Retail Officer taking on the responsibility for the Retail arm of the organisation, with the aim of driving growth and working with the teams to provide the best community pharmacy service. Having started his professional journey with Boots in 1989 as a Pre-registration Pharmacist and spanning a 30-year career, Andrew has held a number of roles at Boots including: Retail and Pharmacy Operations Director, Director of Central Operations; and, most recently, Director of Prescription Services & Pharmacy Operations, with responsibility for the operations of all Boots pharmacies and the total prescription business including online. Andrew describes himself as a ‘people-orientated, results-driven and pragmatic leader’ and is motivated and driven by his belief and conviction in the vital nature of community pharmacy.

Chief Financial Officer

Katie Jacob

Katie joined Well in January 2021. As CFO Katie leads the Finance Team including Financial Planning & Analysis and Financial Control, Audit, Facilities, Procurement and is also responsible for leading our Healthcare Service Centre (warehousing and Distribution) and Home Delivery Service team. Katie has twenty years of finance, transformational change and consultancy experience. Prior to joining Well, Katie was Director of Finance Operations at Micro Focus, a £3bn global digital solutions company with 250 legal entities globally. ACA qualified other roles include Finance Director, Customers at EDF Energy, Head of Group Transformation at BT Telecom and as a consultant for McKinsey.
